*INFORMATION*
One thing I forgot to mention in this video was how to sign up with the NHS after you arrive in the UK, it's very simple. All I did was google my local GP, went in with my passport and proof of address (no appointment needed), filled out a new patient form and within 7 days I received a letter in the mail with my NHS number! EASY!

Audaciously Me it definitely hasn’t turned out to be the “2 year working holiday” that I expected! 😅 it was a bit scary at first being so far away from home but I decided to stay put in the UK and I’m so glad I did! I ended up finding a new job during lockdown and I’m loving Leeds! Fingers crossed we can travel again soon 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Hey gal! Also from NZ and just applied online have biometrics appt next week, for the copy of the passport did you just photocopy it? Sorry if dumb question! I also have done a few contikis and that part was confusing, I didn't put it in my docs to declare / notes but maybe I should bring the itinerary of my last one?

Thanks for sharing! Going to apply for a visa super soon and this is helpful. What did you put for “address you intend to stay at upon arriving in the UK?” - Did you have somewhere lined up to stay already or did you just put the likes of a hostel address or similar? 🙂

I was staying with a friend temporarily so I used their address, but I have heard of people using their hotels address. I think it’s more so you can chose where to collect your BRP from.

Thank you for this informative video. I have a question: Can I submit an online application form for a Youth Mobility Visa while I am in the UK, or do I need to be outside the UK to do so? I am okay with submitting my biometrics in Canada, which is my home country. Currently, I am in the UK on a different visa, so I want to know if I can submit the online application form from the UK and complete the process in Canada. Or do I need to be outside Canada even to submit the online form?

I was never asked any questions at the airport. All you need is your passport that has your visa in it :)

Hi! Does the 24 months start counting only after you entered the UK with the Youth Mobility Scheme visa, and not from the date your visa was approved?

You’ll need enough for 6 months rent and a deposit (usually 5 weeks) and I’d say enough to live off for about 3 months if you don’t already have a job lined up (in Leeds my bills are usually around £400 excluding rent) so it depends where you’re looking to live and what your plans are e.g are you buying car? Going travelling first? I came over with about £5,000 3 years ago and it was comfortable 🙂 however with the cost of living increasing since then I’d recommend more!

How easy was it to get a job once you got to England? And did you have to wait until you got all of your papers (like the one that took 6 weeks to arrive)? I’m wondering if people are maybe a bit guarded to hire people using this visa since you have limited time there and no prior work experience in the UK

I found a job pretty quickly, it was only bar work so I think in that industry they're use to people moving from job to job often. But that being said, when I got a job in marketing it didn't put them off at all :) I think it's becoming very normal to have a visa over in the UK these days so most employers aren't put off by it

Megan Hughes it’s recommended that you wait until you have been accepted to purchase your flight tickets, just incase your visa is declined or delayed. I got my flight ticket after being accepted 😊

Marry a Brit? 😂 haha I’m honestly not too sure, I think if you don’t have any family from the UK there’s not many options other than getting sponsored by your work which I’ve heard can be a difficult and expensive process! But worth looking into!

Gabriella Louise I originally applied in June 2019 well before the pandemic, but shortly after moving over the lockdown was put in place which was a hard thing to come to terms with for sure! I’ve heard from heaps of people that they are still accepting visa applications though so if your thinking about it definitely do it! You’ll love it 😊💖

Hi Chelsi, I am going to submit application on coming week so under planned travel information date can I give Date after DEC 15 which is within 6 month from application by giving biometric on NOV month which is within 3 months from application or we need to give travel Date within 3 months along with biometric date would be much helpful if u clarify me this doubt thanks in advance 🙏
