*_When are you going to address the elephant in the room. The rear wheel opening doesn't match the front. It can't be flat. Both wheel arches are flared. Chad didn't flare the rear arch because he doesn't have the skills nor the tools. Even the lip on the inner fender is flared_*
@@chungasrevenge9222make sure you do your research before you make silly comments like this. The 56 Savoy doesn't have flared wheel wells in the back. Just the front.
First, great gesture to thank Doug and say he's a good man. That goes a long ways to him and us. Watch everyday, this is the first time I've seen you go into the Bad Chad mode of perfection. The detail and skill your putting into this project is really awesome.
There is an Irish utuber who does custom work . When he is but welding a panel in , he tacks the panel in place and then zip cuts at 45 degrees between the panels the spot welds same as you do the angle cut allows the panel to press into the joint and it leaves a really good but weld with less grinding afterwards.
There was no doubt in my mind that chad would ever do a half assed job on this panel. What a great tutorial for us that have never done fab work. Great job on video jolene. Cant forget you.
Hi Chad and Jolene, I have a suggestion. At about -37:50, you were unable to see in through the trunk to behind wheel well. For tight spots like that, a boroscope would be useful tool, rather than just settle for hope you've guessed it right. Boroscopes are very cheap, though unless you get one with built in screen, you'll need a laptop or tablet plugged in to see the image. You're doing great work and providing fantastic instruction and inspiration. FYI, I'm not an avid car guy, builder or even general fixit type, but I'm truly fascinated by everything you do. Your work ethic , skills, creativity and ability to communicate transcends the fact you'e working on cars, etc. I'm addicted to your channel for life!
I guess I wasn't yelling loud enough to remind you to cut that piece of metal before you started tacking the panel on. My wife thinks I'm nuts talking to the computer screen. lol Sometimes I have a staff meeting and talk to myself. Looking good all the same. I'll be back tomorrow.
You are so much my hero for what you do I'm trying to buy a house with a big garage to try to buy a old truck to have a hobby to work on I pray that I get it but it's all about money n I'm on social security can't pay a lot but it would be a dream come true for me found one thank you for your videos
Chad i would take that Milwaukee grinder back and get another dewalt one. Milwaukee have awesome tools but i know you were frustrated with the trigger button not staying. It was funny to see you about to chuck that thing outside. Lol. I dont know if the paddle triggers on the grinders work better for you than the regular ones. But you do great work brother. And make these things look easy. Keep up the great work Chad Jolene Doug and Nate!!
Hi Fina you resting while the boys are working good dog ! Hi Jolene and Chad and Doug looks like another ordinary day at the shop . Cut rebuild and fabrication . If you watch and learn youll understand how thing's are built when there rotted off or rusty . Chad's a great teacher . Thumbs-up guys have a great evening ❤
Chad my friend right brand wrong model 🤷🏻♂️the Milwaukee cordless grinder has a trigger instead of a thumb switch JS I won’t give up because I know you will love it. Hey Fina❣️
Not very many people could make a quarter panel as nice as Chad can do....hi Jolene. Doug. Chad and fina. When you can buy it you make it....great job team.
that's some fine work. in less than an hour. I will say it's enlightening how much a helping hand can speed the process up and get the work done right. slight pushes with the wood etc.
Hello Chad awesome job on quarter panel. I’m in the middle of a restoration on my 57 chevy 2 Door 210. I had bought aftermarket quarters. The quarters had bad crown in them. Had to sink the crown out but it’s coming along. After watching you fab your own quarters. That’s what I will be doing next time myself.
Hi you guys,I was holding my breath on if you would get that metle strip out of there or not , but you sure did it,,good going,,,looking great,, hi to Jolene an Doug an fina,,luv ya’s 👍👍😀

@@chungasrevenge9222Dude really. Is that all you got? This man skills are far beyond any tool he has. Honor the man for the knowledge that he has. Do half of the work he's done and then come talk.
Even when you say it was a ruff go at it, You made it look easy to all of us. True talent. And really alot done in a short amount of time. Nice job! Most would of just patched it togather again and filled it. You did not and thats why you stand out from the rest.
Looks excellent...like the way it went on...Chad makes it look easy...car is looking good 👍 😊. Great work chad and Doug and queen jolene on the camera...cya tomorrow guys
I've seen people use a front fender to create a quarter panel over the wheel well quarter. that's the biggest quarter panel I've seen created by hand 💥💥
This takes me back to when we should weld essentially two cars together to make one. Never thought I'd miss the days of holding that two-by-four or some piece of wood for backing up the weld. Thanks for the nice flashback memory
Chad, you're killing me. They make extension cords that fan out to 4 outlets on one end. Get one of those!!!! It will save you much energy and time!!! Love your stuff, watch you everyday - from Yelm, Washington State, USA
Wow! blends right in to the car as if it's been the original piece all along after you sand ! Getting to love this car even more! High five all ! Night Fina! lol
awesome Chad ,nice job ,i'm learning a lot fromyour teachings on these vidoes ,that your Queen Jolene films so well ,by showing as much of what you are doing as possible Thank You !
Looking good, love see someone do like I do. I gotten so much crap about doing my way I do. Well , Chad does a better way then me , loll Chad can streamline the process, thank you I love it
I totally get your frustrations with your new Milwaukee grinder. (I’d return it before it bites you). I have several of the same Dewalt ones that you have with the paddle trigger as well as without. Last year I bought a couple of Makita paddle triggers, and while they have a little bit less power, I like the smaller barrel grip with the larger paddle trigger. They are Makita GA4534 if you want to check them out. 👍🇨🇦
Company called ok diamond make 4.5 " cutting wheels that last for possibly 3000 plus cuts and do not change size so the blade does not have to be replaced all the time. The disks are about 18 to 22 dollars each but the time saving in changing blades may be a help when making long cuts.
Hello Chad & Jolene, I really enjoy watching the chanel. Thank you for sharing this information with everyone. Chad, just curious about what type of welder you use for welding 18 gauge sheet metal? I have a lot of issues welding this material with a Lincoln 240v. Thanks.
Chad I love the way you tacked the quarter panel into place then grind along the cut and remove the excess you always have another trick up your sleeve I will definitely be trying that way next time it can be such a prick trying to line it up if you cut out straight up.
It's too late now, the panel has already been fitted! Painting the back sides of panels(properly) and preventing future corrosion is the most time consuming(and important) part of doing the job, alot of people skip that part, but it's the difference between a job lasting a long time or a short time.
Yes it sure is time consuming to pre-paint inner panels in Chads case he's got some exposer to the rear inside through the rear trunk area and the inner cab for future coverage ! I guess his speed for results makes good video content he's doing a good job regardless @@RW-bi2rp
Hey Chad you need to show queen Jolene before you start working so her fans can see her face once in awhile and I want to say hi to Jolene Doug and you and let you know that I enjoy watching you all. God bless and have a blessed night
Milwaukee tool needs to step up with a pleather of cordless tools for Chad as he just went out and bought a new Milwaukee grinder. You don’t see Dewalt stepping up with new tools.
