Thank you, I'm flattered and happy to know you find so much enjoyment in them. I was worried I was 'short-changing' people with this one, since I had uploaded a copy previously. Thank you for all your positive feedback, and taking the time to do it, I'll try to keep it up.
A film from a time when alcoholism was portrayed, appropriately, in a bad light. I eventually recognised the actor that played the villain, Dutch. I knew him from the television series F Troop where he played an Indian chief. Thanks again for the uploads.
I remember there was a lot of controversy surrounding the subject matter of this film when I first posted a lower-quality version around a year ago. I think the situation is portrayed well here. All these connections between films, and the people involved in them, are interesting, I would never have known that he was in F Troop, and it's interesting to discover the varied careers of the people involved. Thank you for taking the time to comment and giving the film a chance.
@@isabellamars I must say; I am impressed that you not only take the time to reply to comments but also give thoughtful responses. I can’t understand why the film would have been perceived as controversial; it portrayed alcohol abuse as destructive. There is nothing contentious about such a statement. I do enjoy looking into the biographies (via simple internet searches) of the main cast members after watching these older films. Thanks for taking the time to read and respond to comments; looking forward to your next upload.
@@marty4933 Thank you, and my apologies for taking a while to reply. I figure that if people take the time to comment, I should take the time to respond! I think the controversy was focused around the 'redemption' aspect of the story... Yes, there is so much to discover, the film industry is relatively new, but at this point, the quantity of films in existence has now reached critical mass, you could never watch them all. It's interesting to discover something new, even if it's old. I'm happy you find them so interesting, it would be a shame if they were lost and forgotten.
