We were lucky enough to be going home from the Falklands in a BA 747 back in 1986. The pilot was the BA Chief Trainer and he took us on a scenic trip around the Falklands before heading to Ascension Island for re-fuelling . He handled the plane like no other pilot to give us (and him) a once in a lifetime experience.

How was the flight and what is the typical fare price? There's very little info online about it. I'm American and have considered taking the AirTanker service to the islands.
@@jacksatt1uk It absolutely can be booked by civilians, including Americans. Already looked into it. The booking process is just a bit complicated and inconvenient.
I’ve flown via Brize in 2020 and 2023. Checking in and departure a lot longer than a commercial airport for obvious reasons but no big deal. £2222 return, civilian, non veteran, visitor. The military have first shout over the seats but there’s nearly always seats for civilians. No problem booking. Don’t contact Brize,.. you need Falkland House in London for flight request form. Google is your friend.
@@adamski6845 I appreciate the information. I'm completely aware about who to contact to book the flights. I just was curious about the pricing and didn't really want to send out an email to them at this point.
