Approval Workflow with Google form -Part 1

This is a tutorial of making a single form approval workflow using Google form & formMule add on.
Basically, an employee requests a day off by filling out a google form which creates an automatic email to an approver. Once the approver makes a decision, the requester gets notified by email. If approved, the request dates are placed on google calendar with invitations, the absence records are updated on google sheet and a pdf record file is merge-created automatically. Of course, it could be applied to other various cases.

Hi, I created the form as stated by you in the video. But after some days as the approver approves the form the requester details gets blank and in the sheet

Is there any way that I could create a route that for different approvers but not only one, which is allowed to be chosen by the requester? furthermore, when there is a contradicting decision of different approver for a single request, what should I do for making the final decision is the approver who has a higher rank in the organisation? Thanks.

Can we also add a Cancel Leave Link inside the status email in case the requestor decides to cancel the leave which shall update data set in the backend?

Hello , How can i transfer data from Sheet 1 to Sheet 2 daily basis and when data changes in Sheet 1, data is transfer to Sheet 2 without deleting previous data in sheet2

I have a question, is it possible to put about 5 approvers for a single request and that when one approves, follow the process? How could I do it? That is, only one of the 5 has to approve to follow the process and when it does, the others see it approved.

Hi pavan, I have created a sheet exactly ah u have shown in vidoe. I have added multiple approving email id 's to approve request by adding question to select approving person Email id. When selected person approves request. Requester is get email that his request is approved . Is it possible to get email approval email notification from approving person mail id. Thnx Nitin

Hi Palvan .... I'm stumped and no one seems to know how to do this. When someone fills out my google form I want to let them checkmark 1 of 5 ebooks and when they sumbit their form how do I get Forms to send the link to the 1 ebook they check marked on their form?

Palvan, at 2:13 you accessed the form starting from the 'Requestor' page. How did you skip page one?

Hello guys, I need your help, please let me know how to approve form? when I click the link for approving - Responses to this form cannot be edited. Try contacting the owner of the form if you think this is a mistake. ( I was a form owner)

Dear, the google sheet didn't get the username after submitting the google form, is that something related to setting issue, or with the Formula string

You need to have Google Apps for Education or Work account to make it work.

+Manzour Firdaws Hi Manzour! Make sure to check "Automatically collect respondent's....username" option under form settings menu. BTW, you need to have Google Apps for Education or Work account for that feature. It won't work with personal google accounts.

The copy down plugin stopped working a while ago. Don't use that plugin. Instead I added just another question asking for user email address.

Hi, thanks for replying, Even I added the question in the beginning of the form, The issue that i am facing is, 1. The form is filled 2. It gets recorded on the google sheets 3. the Approver gets an email for approval The issue starts here, When the approver clicks on the link and approves, the entire data entered by the requester is overwritten. I could share the file if you want to have a look at it. Thank you.
