Could you link a kit you would recommend for beginners?

Hi Erica, I feel like every kit out there will have a learning curve. The first couple of tries will not be your best work. But practice will resolve all that. A product I do recommend for beginners is a solid glue gel. This gives you more time to apply the tip. I have a video coming up about using solid glue.
