I added the 034 Lower and upper dogbone mount. Overall, I am happy with the mod. Actually, I'm pretty impressed, I have not felt any wheel hop since install and the few times I've launched. I can say that the vehicle feels MUCH more responsive when accelerating, even some with breaking (may be placebo). One thing I have sacrificed is a smooth startup, although its not harsh by any means. Also, when I'm at idle I tend to feel a bit more of the engine in the seat (very slight). Like I said overall I am very satisfied with these mods, however every driver is different so like any install it'll come down to you trying it out yourself and making your own opinion. For reference I have a 2017 A3 FWD 2.0T. Regarding suspension: 19"oe with wheel spacers (10mm front and 15mm rear), 034 upper and lower dogbone mounts, H&R lowering springs, adjustable endlinks (front and rear), and strut tower brace from Ultra racing. So far handling is night and day vs OE.
@@savagepandaprojectsIt has been about 7/8 months since install. Overall I have really enjoyed ride. I would say the vehicle felt so much more grounded with less body roll in turns such as when taking on-ramps onto the interstate. Also with less body movement when accelerating and braking. Even with OE shocks I would say the ride is still comfortable with no sloppy bounce ( as of yet with ~30k miles on ie shocks). Ride is a bit stiffer yet still maintains a comfortable but sporty feel. I may go adjustable in the future but the car still feels great so for now, I'll let it ride.
@@Sgouldrup89 thanks for the info man. The stock ride just feels so floaty and mushy especially when your dealing with those off ramps. I'll keep that in mind when I decide to get some suspension upgrades thanks!
Yeah dude it's really not too bad. I just wanted to give everyone an idea for what to expect. Stage 2+ power levels I think it's certainly an essential upgrade. The stock pendulum arm is pretty flimsy. I made a video about that quite a while back.
Plus, you have to understand that most forum guys are purists and will dissuade you from making any mods because of this and that. They will always back up their crap with some junk science. In reality, they are just afraid of change and taking risks.
I have a question, Idk if I need the dog bone mount version 1 or 2 I have a 2015 Audi A3 Quattro base model is there any way I can tell which one I need?
Months later, you still recommend pendulum and dogbone as initial upgrades? Also, can this be a DIY? Any other easy ones you'd recommend? Have you upgraded spark plugs/ignition coils?
Yeah they have been solid upgrades. You don't have to go stanless steel mounts there are other various options too. Very simple install. Yes I have done plugs and coils. I would also not recommend a doing resonator/ muffler deletes
Did you install the pucks along with your dogbone mounts and pendulum? I am thinking about getting the kit from 034 motorsports without the pucks, not sure if those pucks are even worth it on the S3?
Can I install this with my car on tires ramps. Or does the car have to be parallel to the ground? Im trying to order the apr billet and dog mount kit..
Savage Panda Projects ya just wanna buy once and not twice, i had a poly on my mkv rabbit which never gave me a problem but a rabbit and a golf r are 2 completely different beasts!!
@@savagepandaprojects same bro. I made the mistake of buying a 2018 a3 Quattro and not the rs3. I already have the IE intake, turbo muffler delete, and the 3" elbow. Now saving up for a downpipe haha
