APR PEX Open Intake Install on the MK7 Golf R 

Yeah I know what you mean dude, but I'm liking the intake so far. If you have done everything to your stock system to tweak it to its max potential, i think the PEX intake is a nice budget friendly option vs all the systems available for the mk7.

Thanks man. I like it a lot. I would assume it will be quite louder than the awe closed intake system but that can be a pro or con. Don't notice anything else performance wise, no gains, or quicker throttle response per butt dyno. However, it is very loud. Hope this helps and will ofc grab more sound clips. Just need time to edit.

Nope, not so much. My MK6 setup was basically the same. Would start to worry during flooded areas however, but then again who doesn’t? 🤞🤞

Closed intake probably draws in cooler air. This intake system is much louder

@@ilimit I've ordered the same intake but i have a MK7 GTI Clubsport and i was confused by the secondary air filter comment on the APR video too - looks like my setup is the same as OP, just the vacuum hose to worry about i think. Thank you for showing the whole process and mistakes that can be made, hope this makes my install a bit easier
