Hi guys,
This sheet cake is a staple at my house in the summer time. I am obsessed with apricots and they don’t have a long season so I buy them the minute I see them at the grocery store and I love to bake this cake for my family. It’s super easy to make, I love serving it with Schlagsahne ((whipped cream ) or with some vanilla ice cream. Ingredients:
200 g sugar
200 g room temp. butter
4 eggs
A pinch of vanilla
A pinch of salt
350 g flour
1 tsp. of baking powder
½ cup milk
350 for 35 to 40 min

An absolute favourite! Sunday afternoon teas with my grandparents and their friends. Honey buns (Honey spice biscuits) with an almond half on top. Marillenknudel when apricots where in their peak here in Australia slathered with melted butter and sugar. To many memories!

I used to make this cake with my mother when I grew up in Sweden, it made me so homesick but since I wasn't able to go home this year 😭. I really hope it will be possible to go home next year 🙏🏻. We used plums or cherries as we have both growing in our garden. It is so wonderful and easy to make, we used to have it with our afternoon coffee served with a vanilla whipped cream 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻. Thank you so much for reminding me about this cake, all I have to do is wait for summer too arrive here in Australia. Stay safe and sane ❤️😊

Love your cooking videos, it feels like I've been invited to your kitchen and having a chat with you as you make these delicious treats. I just adore apricots and this recipe is one I have to try. For now I'll try them with nectarines or peaches, but I'll try it out with apricots hopefully when they're in season next 💕💗💗

So if you bring it to a party, how do you transfer it into a box or a plate? Or at home how do you transfer it into a plate since the full sheet is pretty big. It looks delicious. I tried your strawberry whip cream cake and it was very good. Thanks!

This recipe has my mums name written ALL over it! But it’s winter here in Australia, dose anyone think a canned apricot substitute would work at all?? Or should we just wait till it warms up? Either way my mum would LOVE this!!!
