This puzzle haul has been in the making for a bit too long! But, I have finally got all the puzzles I was waiting for and decided it was the perfect timing, to show them to you! 😁

You guys were neck and neck!!!! Photo finish for sure!! I think the 6k puzzle will be more fun for two reasons: One, it's a disney puzzle that will be fun to work on with lots of different colors, and two, DO NOT MIX THE BAGS!!!! Keep it enjoyable. Esp after the 5k you are working on now. Love the haul!

Hi Janette, please can you do the Ravensburger 1981 ‘little town’ (I think it was called) as we are huge Ravensburger and Schmidt fans😄. Our preference is for you to enjoy your 6000 Schmidt puzzle soooo…….. please can you keep the bags separate , unless others disagree. Warm wishes from Australia. M+C😄😎

Hi Janette, always love watching your videos. I vote for keeping bags separate but that’s because I’d probably do it that way 😅 also, I’d love to see a video on you comparing the different Ravensburger puzzles! I’m curious to know how much they differ now.

I say mix, because it will be the same as doing any smaller size puzzle. This will help your skills long term and I know you’d still have fun!

Very nice haul. The Dixit puzzle is my favorite. My vote is for doing the bags separately. I feel like they packaged the pieces separately for a reason.

I say it’s a 6000 piece puzzle no matter how you slice it. So slice it in half and do the bags separately. You deserve to have fun especially after such a hard 5K image.

Do not mix the bags! No need to make it more difficult than necessary. 😄 I really like the My Little World puzzle so would like to see you do that one. I have an old Ravensburger which I have kept, that is green backed. It is a promo one for VAX hoovers probably made in 1977 or 1978. The image is a comical one which is why I bought it. Lots of lovely puzzles as usual, you always have an interesting selection to show us. Will look forward to hearing about the online competition that is still to come.

Thanks! 🤗 Noted, regarding the Ravensburger puzzles! 👌🏻 You have an even older Ravensburger puzzles! That's insane 🤯 I thought the one I received was like the oldest you can get. I was obviously wrong! 😂😅 The competition went really well! It has been a great success and all solo upcoming events are sold out so far - they do it in quarters, so the first quarter is sold out. So I cannot wait for the next quarter! 🤩

For your information: German game company Ravensburger was founded in 1883; it's a family owned business and they started making jigsaw puzzles in the 1960s.

Nice puzzles Janette, I like how you split them in sections. Swapped, borrowed, competition, bought. It helps everything transitioned smoothly. I think the word you are looking for is not “ancient” it is “vintage”😉 You are calling me “ancient” since those puzzles are dated 1981 and I was born in 1979 🤣🤣

Wow nice selection but I’m so intrigued by those Ravensburger ones - will be interesting to hear your thoughts on them and how far along you think the quality has come in all these years. Even doing a bit of each of the whole image isn’t to your taste would still be good to get an opinion. I remember getting a jigsaw which I think was from the late 70s or early 80s. Was so excited to do it but I had to stop as it smelt so bad! 😂 I tried different things like scattering the pieces on the floor to air for a bit, windows open, spray the room etc. It was no good though - it was just a really bad, mouldy sort of smell and I just couldn’t sit there for any length of time with it! Could still smell it for a few days after I got rid of it!! 😂

Thank you! 😁 I am interested to see the difference too! 🤩 Oh dear haha 😂 I hope this won't be the case with these puzzles! I think she said that one was still wrapped in foil when she found it in a charity shop and I think she already assembled both and there was no mention of the smell! 😅👌🏻 But I know what you mean! I didn't have a smelly puzzle before, but I had one from a charity shop which had so much dust/hair/pet hair in it, that I was completely put off of it! I had to empty the box on the floor, and then pick the pieces out one by one, because it was just disgusting 😬

I get some vintage Ravensbuger from thrifts and find the quality is the same but the fit is looser. But i live in the desert so maybe they shrink a bit in the aridity. I am curious how you find them! My Little World would be my choice ✌

My vote is don't combine and instead keep the bags separate! I'm voting for keep the bags separate because that's what I would do and would be great to see for my considering purchase of a Schmidt 6000 pieces puzzle :-) And thank you so much for your excellent puzzle videos!

If I were doing it I would mix it, otherwise it's just like doing two 3K puzzles, which really isn't the same challenga as doing a 6K, but since doing a 6K is the whole point I would feel it should be mixed. However, I would say do it whichever way will leave you feeling most satisfied.

I would prefer to see you mix the bags for the 6K puzzle, then you will truly be doing a 6K puzzle, not two 3K puzzles. I agree with you that there is enough distinction between the left and right halves that you shouldn’t have any false fits. Many different colors and textures, so sorting quickly should not be a problem for an expert like you! 😅

Don't mix them. I am doing that very puzzle right now, but in a MUCH smaller piece count and a different brand. I would love to see a video about that older Ravensburger puzzle - so awesome!

Hi Janette, so happy about your choice for the 6k image. Just about a month ago I finished the Schmidt Lion King 6k puzzle and really enjoyed it. At first I was a little shocked about the size of the pieces, but in the end I loved them because you can work on sections with much less need to move around a giant puzzle. I did it in two sections and yes, they are split in the middle. Just be aware that there are several „cutting lines“ within the puzzle, so the pieces fit perfectly, but they are offset quite notably. I didn’t know Schmidt had those 6000 piece puzzles. But oops I accidentally bought the same one you have. The other 3 look harder and I think I already have the other 3 in smaller piece count. I guess that makes you an influencer! ☺️

I vote mix them. This looks like a good image for mixing. And it will feel like an extra achievement. If it was a picture like that 5000 piece my vote would be different though 😁. I expect the Disney one will be a lot easier

Pour moi pour que ce soit un 6000 pièces il faut mélanger les 2 sacs sinon cela revient à faire 2 x 3000 et ce n'est pas la même chose. J'ai assemblé un 6000 pièces il y a longtemps c'était une reproduction du tableau de JL David "les sabines" pas facile. Bon courage si tu mélanges les 2 sacs.

Je suis d'accord avec toi que c'est une expérience complètement différente, mais ça peut être un peu difficile de faire le puzzle 6k juste après le puzzle 5k, avec les limitations de temps 😅 Merci ! 🤗 I agree with you that it's a completely different experience, but it can be a bit difficult to do the 6k puzzle straight after the 5k puzzle, with the time limitations 😅 Thank you! 🤗

There are some very old 7500 pieces puzzles and some 8000 pieces from educa but they too are not new... I am not mix vote too. Don't like to make my challenges harder than the should be..

For me, I would want the challenge of all 6000 pieces at the start, but for your sanity and ability to get videos out, maybe two 3000 piece puzzles would be better
