Hi DJ ! This is so exciting , we're finally on the same 2 readathons! I'm reading Valli too along with Ryka Aoki's Light From Uncommon Stars. My TBR for these 2 readathons will be up on Monday morning (tomorrow). Very interesting selection of Books!😊🤗👍👍👍
Hi Awhona! Thank you! 😊 I’m excited to be participating in the same 2 readthons as you this month! And the same two books too! So looking forward to hearing your thoughts on them! I’m sure your TBR will be great too! Keen to see what other books you have on there! 😃🙌
Truth About Me sounds awesome! I definitely need to read that! Light From Uncommon Stars sounds like it has too much going on, but it is so beautiful, one of my favorite reads last year! Thank you for supporting trans folks and joining the readathon! 🏳⚧
Thanks Kevvie 😊 I’m really looking forward to Truth about me and Light From Uncommon Stars too! I’m so happy that you have created this readathon! Happy to be participating 🙌📚
I can’t believe I completely missed the Indian Lit Readathon! I’m going to have to squeeze something in. Light From Uncommon Stars is on my TBR for April too 🎉
I’m very excited to read Light From Uncommon Stars! I hope you can read something for the Indian lit readathon! So happy you want to participate in it! :)
I didn't know about #LitWithIndianLit, I have Pyre from the library so I'll be unintentionally participating 😃 The other Indian authors are not readily available in the US, but I do have access to 7643 and an 90p essay by A. Revathi so I might try those. Look forward to your reviews
Hi Mary! #LitWithIndianLit is a relatively small readathon but I’m glad that you know about it now and that you are participating! Pyre is a good one! I hope you’ll like it. It’s sad that Indian authors’ books are not readily available in the US but I’m glad you have access to some of these books! Let’s have a great reading month 🙌🙂
Great to catch up with one of your videos again! What a fabulous tbr! I think you picked really interesting books for the litwithIndianLit readathon! And thank you so much for standing up for trans rights and doing the transGirlApril readathon! You made me laugh out loud twice in this video - when you said you had to stand up for your neighbor T but not Totoro 😂. And then when you said you want a donut. 😅yum! I hope you enjoy Light From uncommon Stars. I don’t know if I would describe it as cozy but I did love it. Have a great day!
Thank you so much Leo! I love Totoro too! haha and I feel like I am in a mood for donuts always! I am happy with my selection of books for April and I hope I will have fun reading them too! Light From Uncommon Stars has become such a mystery inside my brain and I can't wait to read it! You too have a great day! :)
Looking forward to your thoughts on all of these DJ! I read A. Revathi’s book A Life in Trans Activism last year and it was excellent. I’m reading Little Blue Encyclopedia (for Vivian) by Hazel Jane Plante and then Cobalt Blue by Sachin Kundalkar and There’s Gunpowder in the Air by Manoranjan Stapari. I really want to read Valli but it’s not available in the U.S yet 😩
Hello Jo! I’m so looking forward to A Revathi’s book! I will check out the other books that you’ve mentioned except Cobalt Blue. I have read it and I am not a big fan :( The writing style was not my cup of tea. And I hope Valli will be available in the US and everywhere soon!
