Thanks for the warning, I hate spoilers. Why in the world does Lucy Worsley do that? Guess I will finish my Christie mysteries before I attempt reading the biography.
She explained in the accompanying program that she thinks the genius of Christie's work is in more than just the big reveal...which is true, but it's still annoying. Also be careful of A Very British Murder. She spoils a couple of Victorian mystery/sensation novels in that one.
Hi Heather, I've never read any Oscar Wilde so will check out The Star Child. The Bodies in the Library and Small Things Like These are going on my TBR. I'll be reading Mansfield Park for JAJ this year. Would Celia's House be a good retelling to read when I finish Austen's original six books? I read four books in April and participated in Amish in April and People April, My favorites were A Sky Painted Gold and The Shepards Crown (the final Tiffany Aching book by Sir Terry Pratchett)
Fun! Reading Celia's House after Mansfield Park could make for an interesting contrast. I'm so glad you loved A Sky Painted Gold (and I'm really enjoying The Wee Free Men).
