The workshop manual shows this wrong, it shows to face the teeth the opposite way and have them grab the gear on the outside not inside the hole.

How do you reattach the clutch cable

Just for clarification(I am going to be doing this job during the off season), is a person just trying to pull the arm back to achieve 1 notch or 3 notches? I only ask because you said 1 but you did it 3 times. Thanks much! -John
