The church was never instructed to pay tithe. However, if a man decides to pay tithe on his volition, without being coerced or manipulated, it is pleasing to the Lord. After all the Bible encourages givig and tithing is a form of giving. The problem has always been the legalism that most pastors attach to it. Under the new covenant, our giving must be motivated by love and Paul’s instruction to the Corinthians... “So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.” Personally, i believe 10% is even too small to give to a loving God. Therefore, we must first teach and show the brethren to love God When they love God, some will bring 10%, some 50%, and some even 100%, without compulsion. That’s the power of love.

Believer read and know that tithe is biblical but the challenge is how the tithe is used .Very few current Psts has this light apostle has shared ...People feel used or manipulated..Glory be to God for this light ..

Ironically, people who are not Christians understand tithe and giving more than the children of light. How do you imagine a man who is not a believer giving out 50% of his entire wealth. Yet, you see christians arguing over tithe.

Giving as an act of faith, grow from giving grudgingly to giving out of necessity, and finally giving cheerfully. I hear you pastor. More rhema sir.

Must tithe be money only?

Farm produce are converted to money for tithe

In Mat 23:23 Jesus Christ was talking to the Jews, pharissees. Tithe was practiced at that time. In other word It was before Jesus death. After his death tithe was abolished. Heb 7:12. Apostle Paul said in Corrinthians to give offerings happily and not coerce people. The disciples did not preach tithe because their master Jesus Christ did not ask them do so. Now a days every pastors are coercing people for money. They are not worry about people souls. The only thing they preach now is money.

Tithe is 100% correct but from old to new testament is never money but farm produce if you are a farmer. Any other person gives an offering as purpose in their heart.
