All the reason Aptera told us that it was the best power train is all the reason they need to keep IWM! They need to do what they say they are going to do
Chris M and Audra said that we will be happy with the upcoming announcement. Inboard motor(s) might be better than in-wheel-motors. For several reasons. No cooling lines or cables running outside the body, less unsprung weight from the wheels. It might be a readily available, and less expensive, drivetrain from a reputable company. The rear wheel will require an in-wheel-motor so those who want AWD might have to wait for awhile. I, personally, don't need AWD but it would be nice to have. We should know soon.
