Mam doing it on 1 Jan 2008 it gives Wednesday instead of Tuesday i.e 8+2+1+0+6=17 17 ÷ 7 ..... remainder is 3 *Please Help*

There is just one correction if month is January or February and year is a leap year then subtract 1 from total sum and then take remainder.

Guys, follow this technique for every calendar sum except for when the month is Jan or Feb of a leap year. In such a case, -1 from your answer in step 7. [ In case answer in step 7 is 0, take 7(Saturday). ]

If it is a leap year and the month is jan or feb, you have to subtract 1 from your sum. Your algorithm fails for 26/2/2068 and other such cases.

from 2000-2099 there are 25 leap years and 75 normal years so,there will be 125 odd days .125 days means 17 week and 6 days hence 6 will be the odd days from 2000-2099

I see few asked what if the year ending with digits less than 4.. Like 2001,2002,1901,.. All these gets a fraction. So just consider the value as 0. ex: Jan 21st, 2002 sol:( 2+0+21+0+6)/7 = remainder 1 = Monday

This method is wrong. For some problems it will work, for some it will not work. For Example: 9-feb-2016 we will get wednesday as answer but correct answer is Tuesday. Better not follow the above method

We can't simply use this....26th January 1948 is a Monday but using this method we will get Tuesday this is because 1948 is a leap year (Feb 29th is considered in the method ) but actually we shouldn't suppose to consider it as we are bothered about Jan which comes way before February...so take care guys while using this formula

what about the other leap years between 2000 and 2016 you forgot to count that? there is 4 leap years(2000,2004,2008,2012 ) NO. You already count those years when you follow this method. You don't have to do anything extra because its ending with a leap year. It is added when we divide the last two digit of years and add it to total and later the date and month is also added into total. Look at 3:36 You are confused because she didn't explain the concept. For leap year its an exception for dates before February,you have to subtract one day from the day that you get after following the same process.Because in a leap year day is increased because of feb 29 so if you calculate before that date it will be considered as non leap year.

I don't know why we are following this many steps, 16 Feb 2004 2+3(Jan has 31 days, so 3 odd days)+3(3 odd days for 2001, 2002,2003)=8, Divide 8 by 7 and rem is 1(Monday) Though 2004 is a leap year , our date hasn't crossed Feb so no need add an extra day.

Yes! By Ieswariya's method, the answer is Tuesday! But the answer is Sunday!

35+8+10+4+6=63/7=9 and remainder 0 so Sunday.

by doing this method u will get sunday do it properly u might have done calculation mistake

Man u r saying first to take the last two digits of the year and divide it by 4 But if last two digits is 01 how will we divide it by 4
