Hello, I have an Aqara doorbell, but when someone rings the doorbell it takes a long time before I receive a notification on my phone. for example, the parcel deliverer rings the doorbell. I then walk to the door to accept the package. Only when I get back to the living room do I get a notification on my phone that someone is at the door, who of course has already left. How should I set it so that when someone rings the doorbell, my phone will notify me as quickly as possible?

Hi just uploaded custom ringtone it's a music file but it defaults to playing twice, how can I change it just to play once. ps the music file is 17 seconds long. Cheers

Hello. It is possible to add into the app or view mode, a button to unlock a door (one door lock compatible with homekit for sure) that trigger a command to make an action on a determinate locker or device in your homekit added previously like a relay. Thanks

Will be awesome if in the next software update just put in some place a button open door and that button to have the possibility to choose a device to be controlled from that button. Like, if button (open door) is pressed, then item Y from your homekit app to be open/close or whatever. One more thing, it is possible, when the app recognize a face, to put a command and automatically open the door for exemple. Thanks.

Great video, thanks for that Is it possible to open smartlock with the aquara app from the doorbell screen? My usecase is: - someone calls - I open the app, and talk to them - I unlock my smartlock Now to do that it would be enough to launch any other action from the camera screen is that in any way possible? I've noticed "Linked Device Controll" - I'm wondering if that possible adds some actions to the camera screen? Tanks again!

Hi Matt Thanks for going through different features which has been very useful. I have saved the privacy occlusion area but want to amend it. I tried on the app to change but it doesn't seem to select new area or make amendments. Any suggestions?

Regarding the privacy occlusion area, here's how it works: You'll need to select the specific areas you want to change, and as you do that, the area counter at the bottom will decrease. Once you're done making your selections, make sure to hit the save option before leaving that screen. When you reopen it, you might notice that the previous selections are not there anymore, and you'll have the opportunity to set new ones. I understand that it might feel a bit awkward at first, but the reason for this is that the area you remove isn't instantly cleared, which might be causing some confusion. I think I missed it, are you able to make the doorbell itself chime using the built in doorbell sounds? Or do I need to create an automation and use a custom sound to enable this function?

@Tom, Thanks for the question. At this time, the automation route is the way to go. However, the doorbell G4s software is evolving all the time with regular updates, so watch this space.

Hi How can I reset my privacy zone setting? I can't do this in the app. I restarted the entire device, but these settings remained. A better option is that I added the device to a new account and the same thing happens.

Hi Mariano, The Aqara Doorbell G4 camera image may not consistently load until you create a privacy zone and then refresh it. To resolve this issue, try below these steps: Open the Aqara app. Select the camera. Access the menu. Choose device settings. Navigate to video settings. Select privacy masking zone. Redo the privacy zones and save Go back in and remove them Save your changes again. I had numerous issues when I got this at launch.. loitering drained the battery completely in 24hrs. Want to try again but concerned issues like this may still be present? 🤔

Do you know how I can get my clips to record for more than 6 seconds? It's running of battery's atm but finding the clips extremely short.

@@EasyGatesDirect thanks for the reply, seems hard wiring is the way forward. At current state every motion trigger I see, there is no one there. Even though I see people walking past the house. I have a 256gb memory card in the chime. That should let me record 24/7?

Hi @hammysterrett2944, Thanks for your comment. In order to maximise battery life, clip length is currently limited to 6-10 seconds when running on battery power. To record more, please consider hard wiring the doorbell using a suitable mains transformer. Thanks

Hi, I just bought one and notice that eventhough I insert SD card, the settings only allow me to select stop recording or event recording. What I need to do for continuous recording?

Hi! I just ordered the G4 doorbell, i will install it hardwired My old Chinese doorbell (Heimvision Greets C1 has the same requirements as Aqara G4 - 12-24V), I want to replace my Chinese doorbell with G4. It is ok if I don’t shutdown the power of the doorbell and just remove it that way (will be dangerous)? If it is dangerous, what solutions do I have ? Thanks for the video!
