Looks like a successor to the Aqara H1 that also has decouple mode, I wonder if the gestures are exposed in z2m. Would be interesting to see once other brand like Innovelli release their UK switch that’s jam packed with features.

hi alex, first of all, good video as always. I wanted to check if you have tried the Mars Tech for the Z1 Pro, it is supposed to work with other smart lighting. ie keep the power on for smart lights? Have you personally tried it and does it work? Thanks.

I’ve bookmarked a few of your tech videos & have taken an interest to Aqara smart home devices because of that especially with its native compatibility with HomeKit. I’m still not very clear on the differences between Aqara CN version versus Global version, like how do they affect user experience if say one uses a combination of both. Hence I would really appreciate if you could do a video explaining in detail the experience and whether if it makes sense to pay a premium to get everything locally. I was set on the H1, decided this might make more sense instead, especially the white one looks really good! P/s: It seems like you might be using the T1M as well (review video please!). Otherwise, well done another great video edit!

I too use aqara switches but with the mihome app. Haven't had the time to try others. White would fit my home great!

Am using Aqara since 3years ago but during then I setup on “other” server. Now having new products out, hope I can try out Z1Pro and also maybe the 20A switch for my Heater.

Unfortunately it seems like even with a neutral wire connected, it still functions as an End Point device and not a Router which may be a deal breaker for some.

I'm using 3 gang D1 + H1 Wireless for my living room + dining room light control, which just works like a 2-way switches and I do not need to walk all the way to the entrance just to control my lights. I am inspired to design a smart home whereby I can control NON smart appliances such as AC, lights, fan etc (they come with IR control) I have some questions which I cannot seem to find any info online and Hope to that I can get some input from you. I intend to buy a switchbot hub 2 (as I read up that it’s IR booster is really amazing) and Aqara M2 Hub and Aqara Z1 Smart switch 1) Is it possible that Switchbot hub 2 be able to sync with M2 Hub To control Z1 Smart Switch? 2) how many hub device would you need for a 5 room BTO..

I’ve watched your video from a year ago, can you elaborate on why are you not concerned about security and privacy with their cloud services??? I had an eye on built in smart sockets, light+rgb switchers and thermostat… and those models that are design-compatible are all with Tuya… I didn’t see such variety of matching designs using any other app.. And you stressed me out badly with that comment about security😢 What if to have 2 wi-fi routers and connect all the smart home related gadgets to one router and PCs, phones, TVs to the other one? Please advise🙏🙏🙏

The switch looks and feels premium, but poor support across smart home ecosystems is already a big yikes. Another big issue is the lag between pressing a button and the action - this is a big reason why your average households isn't even considering smart switches. The slider should simply light up the dots as you slide, and tapping it once would briefly show the dots at the current level.
