The Aqua Lung Leg3nd Elite is 2020 Best Scuba Regulator. The Legend Elite's Design, Construction and Performance is truly amazing. Link to it:
www.divers-sup...
The Elite has a fully balanced and enviromentally sealed first stage that is ready to handle COLD, dirty or salt water with a finned Dry Chamber. The super fleible braided hose makes diving a pleasure, no more 2nd stage pop outs.
It's handsome 2nd stage is right off the pages of VOGUE with Venturi and Braking Resistance Micro Adjustments, all boxed with an extra mouthpiece.
Is this Scuba Lab test resulted in TESTER'S CHOICE for this gem of a reg • Video

Aqualung legend Elite vs Scubapro MK25 EVO 620Ti? I know one is piston and other is diaphragm. Both are cold water regs. But it will be great to know the inputs which will help with purchase decision.

Hello Bob. Have you been able to test and compare the Legend 3 vs MBS vs Elite ? Lots of divers says that they usually never touch the wheel, so I wonder if it’s necessary to go for the Elite or the simplier model which seems to do it’s job. In wich case, do you use the scroll wheel adjustment ? Thanks in advance for your kind advices :-)
@DiversSupplyYT
@DiversSupplyYT Год назад
As a norm I don't do any adjustment, UNLESS I turn and swim into a current and feel I need the extra air flow. All these have good flow as they are. As with most things, there are diminishing return as you go up in price. Thanks for your note. Bob C

@@DiversSupplyYT Thanks for your answer. I've already got the Elite limited edition, because I've got a great deal on it, even cheaper than the Elite and it comes with 5 replacement kits for 1st and 2nd stage, so it comes even cheaper. Go a great deal, because the shop bought too many pieces when it came out and now, they have too much stock...🙂
@DiversSupplyYT
@DiversSupplyYT Год назад
@@DidierWolfs That sure sounds like a great deal, you might not want to announce that too loud as AQL can get a little cranky about their products being sold for less than they should be... Shhhhh 🤫
@DidierWolfs
@DidierWolfs Год назад
@@DiversSupplyYT well, the shop, have a dozen retail shops and an online shop and AQL is well aware of the prices :-) I’ve got one of the last deal packages and lucky to got it :-) I’ve been diving with a Legend back in 2005 when I did my Open Water, as my ex-girlfriend had a Legend. That was already on top of the line back in the days. And the Leg3nd is oh wow a step ahead
@DiversSupplyYT
@DiversSupplyYT Год назад
@@DidierWolfs I'm guessing you're not in the US then ? and by the way, I'm not saying it's not a great Regulator... it is ! but I've been in and around the retail scuba business in the US a LONG time and AQL has pricing guidelines they do not like to be ignored in the store or on-line. If they direct a special sale or deal that's one thing.

Which of their models are covered by their free parts program? I heard it's not all, that's why I ask. Thanks again!

All AquaLung Regs, you do an inspection one year and next it's a service with parts. An same each year, but don't miss either.

Would you go with Xtx50 or legend elite?

Can't decide between the AL Legend Elite, the Scubapro MK25 EVO / S620ti, or the the Scubapro MK19 Evo /G260 Carbon.. It's a lot of $, and I like the flexibility of these 3, and whatever I purchase is my reg for the next decade (that's the plan at least). Can pretty much dive in all conditions it seems. I'm leaning Legend Elite, however I feel like the S620ti 2nd stage is probably built from the best materials.. Maybe slightly lighter? I know they're all three super nice sets, but does anyone have any notes or info to assist in this decision.

Smiley you are in High Value country with these three reg sets and you are correct that they are all super nice sets. It may be best to evaluate the 1st stages Pros vs Cons. Then look at the 2nds Pros vs Cons. Let's start with the 1st Stages. - You've got two Diaphragm (yes SP calls it membrane) units Leg3nd Elite and MK19. One has a turret (MK19) the other has angled ports (AL). *All good, no winner.* - There's a super stiff hose on the MK19, so the turret helps with 2nd stage flexibility. The Elite has a braided hose with great flexibility too. * All good, no winner.* _* You'll hear PooPoos about braided hoses, usually by Techies. Don't worry about it._ - The AL Elite and the MK 19 are both Environmentally sealed. *All Good, no winner.* The MK25 1st stage is a Piston design, hard rubber hose and is considered good also in cold. dirty or salty water and has a turret. * The considerations between a Piston vs a Diaphragm 1st are varied and really depend on who's been "convinced" one is better. Personally all three breath very nicely. The AL Elite's one feature that could be considered a + point over the 19 & 25 is it has the ACD (Auto Closure Device) in the inlet between the tank valve and the 1st stage body. The 2nd Stages are ALL composite material construction with a little metal thrown in for performance, adjustability and looks. - The G260 is an update of the G250 which has been a solid performer. The Elite 2nd is an excellent breather and also fully adjustable, as is the SP S-620. The 260 is a little larger and thus heavier, than the other two 2nds. * My nod goes to the Elite & S620. So, lot's of this and that on these three Reg Sets. I'd certainly be a very happy diver with any of these great Regulators. _ If I had to pick from these that would make my "Final Two" ??? _ *What do you think they would be?* This is a great Title for a Video !

@@DiversSupplyYT Full disclosure, I was all set on the Scuba Pro MK25 EVO / A700 Carbon (set), but only because of the black and carbon fiber appearance. I slept on it and eventually ended up looking real hard at the 3 I listed, just to save a few hundred $, to put towards something else. Thanks for taking the time to evaluate the contents of my comment. This is super helpful! To be honest, the G260 caught my eye with the carbon fiber look as well, and I'm pretty sure I've rented a 250 or something really close, and I thought it was excellent! I appreciate you moving the focus over to the 1st stages. I was all focused on the 2nd stages over here. This information will really help me decide, and it is between the Elite and the 620ti now. I guess if I can spend $1400 on a GPU for my PC, I should probably be willing to put some $ into an underwater device that delivers oxygen lol. What a toughy. I was about to click "buy" on the S620ti, but now I'm looking into ACD, and I'm intrigued. Ahhh. I'm gonna sleep on it one more night. If you're curious, I'll let you know which one I purchase. Thanks again!

@@DiversSupplyYT OK. I’m always so indecisive. I ended up purchasing the MK25 EVO / A700 Black Carbon, the Scubapro R195 Octo, and Suunto Vyper Novo and AI transmitter. My justification for going Carbon… I assume it’s a little lighter than the all metal A700, it’s top of the line, and it just looks so good. My stomach is still a little twisted after spending so much, but overall I think it’ll be worth it. Thanks again for the great info.
