It’s always a compromise as the rapids would be better in the surf but the beast will be slightly better over long distances given it’s narrower and longer. If you’re going to surf it’s prime activity for the board then I’ll go with the Rapid as it will still do general paddling well.
Hi Burim the new AM 2019 board range has not been released to international distributors as yet. In addition to this there has been some supply chain issues that needed to be resolved regarding 2018 models. We will update our website with more information as soon as it comes to hand. I am glad you like our videos as we love making them. We are excited to say we will be adding some new brands to our website for 2019 so watch out for a new range of ISUP featuring next level tech dual chamber boards at great prices. Cheers Graham 🏄♂️😎
Hi Nik the Rapid is a dule purpose wave board and works well on Whitewater or in the surf. Red Paddle make a fantastic range of boards and I can highly recommend them that said they can be twice to as much $$ as an Aqua Marina Board or more depending on where in the world you purchase your board so the Rapid is a very good board in terms of value for money up against all other players. I hope this helps you cheers Graham
Hi there, i enjoy a lot watching your reviews and I have a question about this particular board (Rapid). I love the look of this board but the question is: would it be suited for a 99kg bloke? I would be using it mainly in small surf and short cruising along the beach shore. Thanks a lot
qwerty qwerty Hi that's a good question. The Rapid paddles very well in a strait line. That said because of it's width it will be slower to paddle over a distance over narrower boards. Boards with a lot of yawn will have a tendency to turn on every second paddle. But the Rapid has a surf slate shape being very wide at the nose and tail. Thus it's paddles well in a strait line. I hope this helps. Cheers Graham
Yes that helps making my decision. Many thanks, i want to use it in the waves for 2 weeks holiday but at home i have a small lake where i would like to paddle for 30min so short distances. I was also thinking about the beast. But i think this one is more stiff.
