After answering many questions about AquaBricks and WaterBricks, we decided to make a video and show what the similarities and also differences are between these two similar products. We also explain why it is that we here at Be Ready choose to sell AquaBricks.

Wish I would've known the Aquabrick existed a couple months ago when I purchased the Waterbricks. You hit on many of the issues I have with the Waterbrick which I quickly discovered after trying to clean them out before filling them. The cap, handle and shoulder area, all a terrible design. Good review sir.

Wow, thank you for this video Adam! I was very close to purchasing a couple Waterbricks on the recommendation of a few emergency prep pros, but some of the critical comments about the design on Amazon made me really question whether or not it was a good choice, so I started investigating alternatives to compare. Found this video, and it's almost shocking how stark the difference is when put to the test side-by-side. AquaBrick is clearly the better product. Always, ALWAYS do your own research people!

LOL - but you failed to read the amazon reviews on Aquabricks?? Great research! You'd have found that Aquabricks are notorious for leaking lids. A constant issue for many years, that has yet to be resolved. So while Aquabricks may have some advantages over Waterbricks, the fact that they leak just removes them from even being a viable and reliable option. So yea, having to settle for waterbricks is not ideal, but at least their basic function of storing water without leaking is good.

@@abc123def98 Hmm.. my comment is from nearly 2 years ago (around July 2019) and I bought my 5 AquaBricks around the same time. 4 out of the 5, I use for emergency storage laying on their side, have never leaked, even been through a rough moving day without leaking. The 5th I've taken camping several times and hasn't leaked, except a tiny little if I don't tighten the lid fully when the spigot is in. Other than that, no issues. So I'm a little surprised to hear about a serious leaking issue. And of course I read the Amazon reviews and reviews on SaganLife website when I bought my AquaBricks, basically no reviews at the time had mention of a leaking problem. Out of curiosity I just took a look at the SaganLife Amazon page. Out of 105 reviews for 4 of their products selling AquaBricks, only about 15 total mention leaks as an issue, and most of those are from 2020 and later, long after I purchased mine. Reading through them, seems like some people might not be fully tightening the lids all the way, which is causing their leaky problems. Additionally, I bought mine directly from the SaganLife website; Amazon sellers although they may use a brands name to sell/describe an item, might not have any official affiliation with the brand. So it's anyone's guess if you are getting a quality product or a used/returned one. Fyi. All said, I've been very happy with my Aquabricks. :)

I've had water bricks for many years and the problems you mentioned are true but were excellent for carrying water because they were much lighter than the water cubes or other 5gal.+ containers. I just purchased a 6pk of aqua bricks this morning and looking forward to using a better designed water carrying and dispensing container. Thank you!👍

Purchased five of the Aquabricks two years ago. While washing them out I discovered one would leak water from the lid. Was promptly sent a replacement lid. Other four had no issues. Love the two handles and the easier flow of the contents when emptying. Also the way the handle attaches on the Waterbrick looked sketchy to me. I've had things with a similar wire-attach design and they were a pain in the assets. As for stacking... I wouldn't try it. Stacking anything plastic that isn't very hard material makes me worry, so I just don't.

No matter your results about durability, the Aquabrick leaks from the lid. Over a decade they've been making them, and cannot even get it the seal. Just read the Amazon reviews, its a constant ongoing issue. Basically worthless. Makes us have to settle with Waterbricks.

How ridiculously one sided. WaterBrick stores 3.5 gal in the same space as the AquaBrick’s 3 gal. The interlocking stackablity of WaterBrick makes it so much more stable when stacked than the AquaBrick. The WaterBrick handle is removable for a reason. Finally and most importantly, when seeing how much weight you can place on these, try standing on the WaterBrick the way it is intended to be stacked. I’m 275lbs and use them as step stools all the time… because they are stackable. I challenge you to stand on the AquaBrick let alone stack them more than 10 high.
@joshj3787
@joshj3787 2 года назад
I agree it's a 1-sided review. I especially noted that when the reviewer mentioned the disadvantage of small amounts of UV light penetrating the WaterBrick but not the advantage of quickly seeing the volume level of anything inside. Perhaps that advantage isn't as important, but was definitely worth mentioning. While I haven't stood on either of the bricks, I do know that the AquaBrick is also stackable. That's why there are 2 circular tabs on one side and mirrored indents on the other. WaterBrick's passthrough circles could definitely help stack more stably if you're using a specially designed rack, but it's not as if the AquaBrick isn't designed to stack at all. Gotta be fair if we're advocating against 1-sided reviews ;-)

@@joshj3787 Your comment made me curious. I searched AquaBrick's site and couldn't find anything on stackable while filled with water. I found a reference to see their "user manual", which took me back to the same purchase page (no manual). I sent an email and did get a response. They suggest stacking no more than 5 high while filled with water. On the other hand, the WaterBrick, marked clearly on their site, recommends no higher than 48 inches which means 8 bricks high. Just an FYI should you or anyone else be interested... Enjoy,

@@michaelfranciotti3900 Interesting. Just watched the same vid. Drops the WaterBrick on its corner, while Aquabrick on the flat. Demonstrates stacks the Aquabricks. Moves around the table as the stack shifts around. Doesn't repeat with Waterbrick (cause it stacks better) Mentions you can stack Aquabrick 4 high, doesn't mention WaterBrick can stack 8 high. Does the drive onto the Aquabrick, and doesn't repeat with the WaterBrick (again, cause it would do better). The devil is in the details. When they are sponsored by the product, look a little closer. Get past the cleaver editing and look for a real one to one compare.

Can you give the reason why you prefer the waterbrick?
@manictiger
@manictiger 3 года назад
@@knothead35 I don't have aquabricks, but from my perspective, these are all first-world problems in the video. The waterbrick holds more and is more durable when stacked, due to those "annoying columns" he mentioned. You can also put PVC or ABS pipes through the water bricks to make them sturdier when stacked.
@abc123def98
@abc123def98 3 года назад
@@knothead35 The biased review of this video is probably because Aquabricks sent him that stuff for free. What he fails to mention is how Aquabricks are notorious for leaking at the lid. Just read all the amazon reviews. THey are horrible with quality control, and cannot even get their lids to properly work. So as they do have some advantages over waterbricks, the fact that they leak, just makes them not a viable option. Thus, we have to settle with Waterbricks, which actually function properly.

Great comparison of these 2 items focusing on important issues. My only protest is that during your demonstration you filled and emptied both containers several times. At 3 gallons each, dumping water on the ground just seems wasteful when people should be continuously concerned with water conservation. Just saying that you could up your game.

Owned both, unfortunately. Saw this after I already purchased the Waterbrick. The handle on the Waterbrick falls off on one side or the other constantly, gets in the way when trying to get the cap off or put it on, the cap being down, inset below the shoulders does not help. The handle wants to almost pinch your fingers when pouring, due to the shitty design flaw of the cap/handle. With the cap design being down below the shoulders, you can't pour all the water (or food) out without shaking it severely. Just a piss, poor design. The only thing they are good for is stacking, but if you can't use them, what good are they? I took a loss, sold the 16 pieces of crap I had bought a few months ago and purchased some Aquabricks. I am soooooooooooooooo much happier with the Aquabricks as I have NONE of the issues I had with the Waterbricks.
