@@thewarden1398how tf else do you fight with such a cumbersome weapon like tridents. Take a loot at the real choreographer Momoa is trained in Bo staff fighting and utilizes it in his loves whereas manta is more ninja like and a little awkward with the trident hence why he splits it

@@DirByHasan tridents are only cumbersome if you're ignorant of them and insist on fighting with them as though they're swords. They're not. Half of the moves in this fight wouldn't do anything even if they did land because the shaft isnt sharp, obviously. Tridents are spears with crossguards. You're going to be stabbing mostly, and only swinging the thing if your opponent is off balance and you can leg sweep him. A fight between two trident wielders would be a game of stabbing at your opponent's weapon and trying to catch the shaft between two of the points on your trident, so you can yank his out of his hands or snap it.

Mera is always Awesome in comics or movies, she is even more lethal than Arthur. She takes no prisoners. Mera is many things at the same time, A queen, a wife, a mother and a warrior.

@@jairusjackson7799 Don't particularly care about actors when I'm talking about their characters in movies. I just enjoyed the mother bear mode and would have liked to see more. I Liked the papa bear moments too! Whether I agree with her action while not in character is another matter entirely. For me an actors personal life is just that, personal, and I have no business poking my nose in regardless of how publicly its put out there. While I don't condone her actions outside of her job and think it was a crappy thing to do, its not really my place to up in her business. Job wise she's a decent actress. What she does beyond that in her personal life is not my business and has no affect on how I see the role she's acting in a movie. I'm the type who if I meet one of my favorite actors in a regular everyday life, I treat them like just another person. If I'm at a fan event and its their job to amp up their movie then I expect them to do their job and I will fangasm like everyone else.

It's just here it's too obvious this character's role and relevance was cut in half, it feels a little impossible not to mention the actor because that was the only reason why

Indeed, one of the flaws of this movie was lack of Mera. There can't be a proper Aquaman story in which she is not prominent. Mera is the heart of the Aquaman mythos. Very idiotic to reduce her scenes, she is more powerful than Arthur or Orm.

Most fans liked this movie, I liked it but not close to the first one. Aquaman 2 abandoned by its own studio has performed in a very decent manner, defying expectations. An enjoyable movie, but one with flaws, especially lack of Mera, any Aquafan knows that the Queen is too important in Aquaman to be put to the sidelines and the movie feels something is missing.

The only thing people are complaining about is that she didn't get recast post-trial with/against Johnny Depp. Her personal legal issues, IMHO have nothing to do with her ability to do her job, which she has consistently done well on the big screen.

Saw it in theaters on December 22nd, thought it was a decent movie(6.5/10), didn't like Amber Heard's inclusion in this film. Jason Momoa, Patrick Wilson, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II carried though. I did enjoy the action scenes and VFX too. However, the first movie was better in my opinion, this one wasn't what I was really hoping for. Wish it was abit more well written and maybe longer too, perhaps 2h 30m would've been good.

Definitely not, besides Zod being much stronger physically than Arthur and Mera, he is also much faster, more experienced, with better combat skills hand to hand, can fly, has more destructive power and range (heat vision)

Kordax probably rationalized he didn't have to do much with Manta to get what he wanted. he just had to pump up Manta's abilities and feed his already immense hate for Aquaman. Let the man's wrath do the rest.

Agreed, I only care about the film onscreen. If the actor has too much baggage, recast or don’t do the film. This cutting screen time especially if it doesn’t work for the story is just shooting yourself in the foot.
