This mod feels very much like something from Terraria, hell, the echoes look exactly like souls of flight, and the vibrations in the ice are like the vibrations from deep below when the Destroyer spawns. Honestly I love this though, I want more Terraria-style mods for Minecraft, I think they suit the game really well.
It really does, to me Terraria has more to work with story wise. Minecraft doesn't. But this mod looks so interesting, if I understood how to do mods I'd probably try and play it.
I love little self contained mods like this, it's the perfect little surprise to add to a larger mod pack, as it only affects one biome and doesn't alter how the game is played too drastically. Imagine playing some larger experience and stumbling upon all this without knowing, it would be incredible.
Noticed this mod has a lot of Terraria references "You feel vibrations from deep below", "[boss name] has awakened", soul of flight, along with critical hits, the frozen key + chest), tortured souls, the gold moth, full set abilities, class bonuses, alternate helmets, etc
I'm playing it right now and it's one of the best mods out there. Cool and unique enemy design with very unique attacks. Also very cool new weapons and armor with sick abilities. Can very much recommend it.
@@twinguy9633 I don't really know a lot of mods related to ice and cold, but there's a couple other mods you could be interested in, like the "Deeper Darker" or any of the mods made by the Abnormals team.
My only complaint is how are players supposed to know that in order to get rid of that last bit of health of the boss Captain Cornelia? Unless there is something inside the log books or written somewhere else, I don't see how players could surpass the boss without a guide of some sort. Other than that, a pretty fantastic mod!
@@Americanbadashh People would try instant damage potions not weakness yk Also most of them would be lucky to think about that sword unless they have JEI It's not even trial and error, it's just poorly designed cuz you can't even figure it out by yourself that easily, like, anyone new with half a brain would think of blowing her up and I think that's impossible too so yeah... Plus you get punished for not beating her by having to grind for a new boss summon item
Epic mod! Totally gonna play if I get the chance! Please make more, too. Also, would love an update where we find out what cornellia was searching for! That’d be great!
This mod is so amazing but sadly the 1.16.5 version of it is not as advanced. Also amazing video, like always. In the first 10 seconds i knew it was gonna be great.
Really good mod. I think it would be great if you added more background to pillager sea exploration(even if its as an option), such as adding some beach/river outpost that function as a shipyard and some ships hinting at this new biome in the sea (possibly reports of it on land outposts too). Or even some more lore to captain cornelia, as a legendary explorator of the seas or something like that.
love how this focuses on more of the dangers/depths of the ocean, as opposed to other similar aquatic mods that do more about light hearted stuff like surface plants/fish/corals, etc.
Loved the video @Noxus! Can't wait for the next video man! I remember seeing a Trailer on Create Aeronautics RU-vid channel announcing that the Mod was going into Open Beta in 2023. Would love to see you or other Minecraft Community Content Creators take a look at how the Mod has Progressed since it's original Start back in 2020/2021.
Im getting a real "Call of cthulhu" vibe here, and it gives me the creeps. And I LOVE it, the sense of mystery and exploration is amazing.Hopfully more bosses are added, like a leviithan.
everyone is talking about the terraria reference but nobody is talking about the obvious BioShock 2 reference at 4:09 looking a lot like the big sisters and the summon sound sounds a lot like one of the big daddy sounds
Soem of these things I genuinely wish was added to minecraft edit: also theres a slight problem with the actual captain boss. Having to use a weakenss potion or a specific sword makes it a checklist to fight her rather than strategy.
This really reminds me of Subnautica Below Zero... Story driven, amazing and big mobs underwater and on land, icy landscapes and last but not least: everything is friggin hostile :D
@@thejunktownsheriffkilliand4800 Good to know, no clue who those are or what they look like but the Cornelia model is still an overexaggerated hourglass on blocky legs
I would love some cool, self contained, exploration themed quest areas like this in vanilla. One for every biome might be too much, but Idk, I love this stuff and Their current structures could use the boost, let's be real.
I really have never been a fan of overly modded minecraft, but I have to say that this looks awesome and I will definitely give it a try. I've always preferred a vanilla plus mod at the most but I think this could be a great addition to the game seeing how contained it is and how polished it looks.
Been playing around using this mod and it’s great! But the one thing that keeps irking me is the fact that being underwater in the ice maze will kill you, and aside from the full three-bolt set I’m not sure what would be the best course of action when exploring underwater Are there other ways to not freeze to death there?
There's a book in the house next to the Eels in the ice cave where it takes about another crew going into a "Great Terrible(?) Dark Forest." Is there such a thing or is the mod still in development?
Its a pain in the ass to farm echo of the ship graveyard tho, and the loot cave area doesnt change if you defeat Cornelia so you basically get the key but lose the main loot, or at least thats how it was for me, but its a good mod
