The Swan LK 243 is a restored sail fishing boat used now for training and holiday trips. I'm a Shetlander and this song is basically the national anthem for Shetland. We endure long, harsh, dark winters but then a four month window opens called summer which reminds us of why we live here. This song captures the light and peace of those four months.

I don't recall of ever hearing such a mesmerising piece ever! And what an arrangement. Catriona McKay has captured the timeless majesty of the swan of of legend.

The 'Swan' in question is actually a sailing boat www.somuchtosea.co.uk/swan-lk243/. Catriona was sailing on it and, I think, playing her harp. I recall her saying the whole wooden deck of boat was like a resonance box (or something). Beautiful!

Quite beautiful -- I've been listening to this version for a couple of years and actually prefer it to the composer's own rendition on harp.

This is one of the beautiful melodies i have ever heard for a guitar quartet. Your way of interpreting and the dynamics of the piece is absolutely incredible. I am looking for the sheet music for this and my Guitar Quartet is very interested in learning this piece. I hope you guys can give us the music sheet so we can play this for our Spring Concert.
