My entire life, or 68 years, I’ve provided so much detail, often forgetting the question or point. But in the past few months, my therapist agreed with me that I have it. He was surprised I could research and identify it myself. He said I have a great awareness of myself-lol not self absorbed. In the past friends/coworkers would say, “for the sake of expediency please get to the point”. lol. It’s weird that I didn’t know I was doing it until recently, even though people inferred it. Now that I know it, I have to state the issue or answer the question first. Then, provide a few details to support my point. The disease turns off a part of the brain that controls what’s essential to a conversation…so thus too much detail. It may be caused by my generalized anxiety disorder or just a way i communicate-but is’s irritating to others.
