I noticed my old surplus AR mags were having issues with feeding, so a little research led me to purchase the Magpul Enhanced Self-Leveling Followers.
Could this be part of the problem many of us old veterans had with the M16A1 from back in the day?
Many thanks to Brownells for having these followers at a great price.

Glad you posted this video. Let's folks know about how critical the follower is to mags.👍 Personally, I don't use plastic mags. Oh, I've tried a few, but found that the feed lips warp out of shape, and most plastic mags do not drop freely from the mag well when released. Got rid of the plastic, and use aluminum or steel mags only. And yes, they've all been fitted with non-tilt followers.

Any good mag will/should come with anti tilt followers if they don't state specifically the do don't buy.

Good fix, brother. I mostly run P Mags but have some metal mags in long-term storage. I may go ahead and upgrade them if they need it. 👍

@RickNethery check the follower and see if it tilts like I demonstrated. If it does, I would say DEFINITELY change it. 😀🦬🦅🪶🌩

@joeanita8654 I have a few and don't have any issues with them. I have heard from others of a few problems. Is there any issues you would like for me to look into?

You usually won't have these issues with the modern spring steel in modern mags. How the springs wear is from repetitive compressions back/forth and up/and down. Repetitive spring loading and unloading pressure. So storing modern mags loaded isn't a big deal. But this replacement tip is great. Keep on 2a-ing on folks!
