The BCM Gunfighter Mod 3 is my pick as well. I see you are running the BCM shorty foregrip as well. I like and use that as well, only mounted angled forward.
The k2+ is my favorite! It’s super grippy and comfy way better than the bcm mod 3 I have one of those too and it’s my second favorite just feels a bit slippery compared to the k2+.
I have been thinking about trying the Bravo grips, thanks for showing that little overlooked bit that guards your finger from the edge of the trigger guard! I currently have the only Lower I own equipped with a matching OD set of the Magpul ACD storage stock ( which I love since I also own a D-300 NV Monicular I built myself from a empty housing and a couple diff tubes I’ve ran in it) I enjoy knowing I can carry inside my rifle stock not only optics batteries for the rifle, but at least 2x spare CR-123 for my monocular. I love the fact it has the extra tightening lever that takes that little bit of extra wiggle out of the stock to ( although admittedly it softened up over time it’s still more stable than without it!) and My personal Fav AR grip I’ve ever tried so far out of what few I have, the K2+ with the sweet rubberized coating on it, the steeper angle, and the nice profile and storage capabilities. I have to admit I’ve been looking at rifles with the Bravo Company Grips and the more comfortable looking ergonomics of it overall and wishing that BC offered it in a rubberized coated version as well!! Because I have gotten to accustomed to my K2+ nice grippy and yet slightly giving texture I think going back to a hard plastic would feel like a downgrade… however I don’t know yet and they are cheap enough that I may as well try one! And I plan to put together a second lower soon anyways, so that way I’ll already have a nice upgraded grip for it even if I choose to throw my K2+ back onto my first Lower! You really aught to give the K2+ a try, as weird as it feels with my usual “utility/practicality trumps style and comfort” mentality… that rubberized grip just makes the rifle feel so so much nicer to me … weird how the feel of an item can effect one’s emotional and mental opinion of it in ways that are profound ! lol! Thanks for making the video, I enjoy your way of explaining why you appreciate the different grips .. etc! And we appear to have damn near identical sized and shaped hands so I would think that what you dig I would probably feel good with to! Rock on Brother! Ima subscribe!
I buy a ton of grips until I find the right one for me. Currently I like the BCM MOD 3 for my 16" AR15. I like the BCM for all the same reasons. I must have a beaver tail because I have long fingers and the beaver tail pushes my hand back for better trigger placement. YES I only use flat bow triggers too! I just bought a Reptilla CQG for my 7.5" AR15 pistol. I hope it fits my hand. I can modify it with my Dremel to help it fit. Sounds like I might have to. I have LONG arms and a true XL size hand. Great video!
I like the BCM a lot too. I always go back to it. Recently tried the Larue curved 2s trigger and I might like it more than the flat. Try it out if you get the chance
@@rookiereviews1591 My extra large hands and long fingers are counter indicative to curved triggers. I absolutely must have a flat trigger for good control. They're always further forward. I came to loathe two stage triggers. I got rid of everyone of them, and only use single stage triggers now. It's just a preference. But having the flat bow trigger is a neccessity.
I've only used a Magpul MOE from them and I hate it, I much prefer my B5 Type 23 P-Grip, which they have updated the texture they use over the one in the video. Now it has square panels of texture and it's a ton more aggressive than any of the other grips I have used, which isn't that many. My B5 is even more aggressive than my BCM Mod 3 VFG which I am a huge fan of. I tried the RVG from Magpul and I hate that too, it's meant to grip by itself for like a smaller SMG type firearms that doesn't have much room on the handguard. After trying to get used to it for 1 day I just ordered another BCM Mod 3 VFG so I don't have to use the RVG I don't even want to try and get used to it Magpul has been a let down with all their stuff. I guess their magazines are decent, but that's about it. Everyone raves about them, but I'm just not a huge fan, I think they need metal feed lips like Lancer has and everything else of theirs that they make out of polymer feels cheap.
what's the best place to sell your excess or changed out parts? I find if you leave them around too long, they find the tools in the garage and assemble themselves into a new pew pew
Thnx for sharing man. Very helpful. I have the Magpul K2 and the Daniel Defense grips, but I’m interested in trying out both the BCM and B5 grips on future projects to determine which combo/mix I like the best.
Swapping to b5 simply to match colors to the b5 stock. Definitely getting the one that's stippled. While I'll miss the compartment in the k2. I can always stick them into my tango down vert grip or on my carrier. I have rifles with a2s for being clone correct even tho i hate them the angle kills my wrist after some time. I have long fingers and long arms for my height and like running stock short.
Hey man! You made a great comparison video. I had been looking for this exact type of comparison, thanks for the work! :D I do wonder a thing. I see you have a magpul trigger guard. When you installed the K2 grip, did you still had issues or was it flush and nice feeling?
It was no issue with the trigger guard, although I like the little tongue thing that sticks out on the BCM. Just a little more comfortable IMO. BTW I’m the guy that made the video, sorry for the late reply.
