I had a bone density test today; mine was done similar, but slightly different. The first part was exactly the same ( on back laying flat). But the next step was different ~ I sat on a chair next to table, with left arm ( non dominant)flat on table. That was it!

You said the magic words: "lowest radiation."

What were they doing when they had me on my side ?

I’ve broken my collarbone twice in 4 months. Will the scan show the density of my collarbone? And compare to say my none broken side?

I have had 2 of these and just had one yesterday is so easy and nothng bad about it.

I have today. Problem with me is sleeping straight as I feel dizzy . Maybe they will give more Pillows.

Hi Julia, thanks so much for sharing with us this. A personal question. May I know if your mum and aunt who have bad osteoporosis are on HRT at all? Does Dexa not scan hands and feet? Can osteoporosis be happening at certain parts of othe body but not other parts? Thanks.

I would of thought it would of been of the whole body. Why just the lower part of the body?
