When my 21 year old sister was dying of cancer in the hospital she would ask me to play this song for her 😢. It’s been 25 years since she passed but till this day I cry like a baby when I hear this song.

I was one of the lucky person that saw his concerts in 2016 before hi passed, the only way I can describe his concert it was like jumping into a rollercoaster, one moment the whole arena were dancing and minute later the all the people were crying! I grew up with Juan Gabriel. I went to see him live here in Chicago 11 times and experienced so many types of positive energies. He would totally make you forget about the troubles you might’ve and make you sing, dance, cry and laugh the whole time because Juan also had a great sense of humor. He was such a humble human being down to earth giving everything he had to his audience. He would perform for 3-4 hours until he completely exhausted his voice. He also poured his soul in every song he wrote.and each performance. Boudy, you’re absolutely right when you say; “It doesn’t matter how old you are, 20, 50, 100 years old “. His music touches everyone!! I miss my dearest Juan Gabriel very much!!. Thank you for your kind and felt reaction! Blessings 🙏💯

Actualizo el dato, Juan Gabriel rompió récord en el Auditorio Nacional al cantar 7 horas en una de sus últimas presentaciones ahí. El fue acreedor a muchos records como el programa en vivo más largo de la televisión mexicana con Verónica Castro en "Mala Noche No", el que más intérpretes de su música tiene, el de mayor número de xanciobes compuestas registradas. Is very sad, his mom rejected him and put him in an orphanage, and he escaped from there when he was like 12, he lived in the streets, and with prostitution places, helping to clean and helping the girls to dressing up for the shows, he had a very tough life.

I was speechless when watching him live in concert, I was there with my mom and grandma and can't help but cry every time I remember that day, he was amazing and my grandma was so happy, beyond any kind of joy I have ever witnesssed.... I miss her so much, but I'm grateful that we had the change to spend such a special time together. Juan Gabriel had such an impact in so many people, his art will live forever in our hearts. ❤

Sería excelente que buscaras los videos de las entrevistas que le hicieron, no sólo era un excelente canta autor, era un ser humano fuera de este mundo, una sencillez y una calidad humana llena de ternura, vivió momentos muy difíciles a lo largo de su vida y fue humillado, menospreciado por muchos cantantes aún así nada lo detuvo porque su pasión era la música y cantarle al mundo, cada nota musical llevaba siempre parte de su corazón y una gran y maravillosa sonrisa llena de ternura, sus últimos años los llevo como mejor podía, ya no podía hacer un gran espectáculo debido al cansancio y la falta de aire que sentía, sus pulmones estaban muy cansado, el único que era capaz de estar por más de 4 horas cantando en un escenario, sólo El grande e insuperable Juan Gabriel😞

I listened to a reaction of Amor Eterno right before this one and halfway through this one, I lost it. I haven't cried in probably a year! But this got me. It went straight to my ❤. This man had a God-given gift! It's undeniable. That's why he's a Mexican icon and legend. His energy, voice and charisma was so powerful! Listen to Amor Eterno dude. It was written for a fellow singer named Rocio Durcal after she lost her son, when he drowned in front of her. Though if you do an online search, some will say that it was written for his mom who died of cancer.

I’m not crying, you’re crying😢 Love this song!!! They made Mexican telenovela called “Abrazame Muy Fuerte” and this was the theme song for it. They have done this with a lot of popular Mexican songs, use them as the title track for the novelas. They have used Vicente Fernández’s songs too.

I grew up on many Latin and Mexican music. My aunt was an avid fan of Juanga. In 1996 I moved to the Netherlands, so I lost touch with his music. I did not know this song, until I heard it on a Spotify lists, did not think anything of it (because Spotify is just on as background music). Now I see it again and it hit HARD. Eyes tearing up during the song and then your emotional reaction at the end. I'm a puddle... Yesterday I stumbled across your Juan Gabriel reactions, watched 3 of them and the retrospective you did. Today binging the rest. Thank you so much.

I cried with you.... This song brings memories of family members that are no longer with me. It is sad, but it is also a wonderful thing. I guess, the memories of the people that are no longer with us are like that, bittersweet.
