Goosebumps throughout the first 2 verses, hit the first chorus and I'm like "okay starting low register, i'll take it". Hits 2nd chorus, slight key change "oh Caleb, where is it, I know you'll do it", *upper register hits* "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh yesssssssssss" Great Arrangement. Great Atmosphere. Love your work man.

I know I'm old when hearing the version with non-racist starting lyrics still throws me for a loop, even if just for a second 😅 Covers like this one are doing so much good work in normalising the newer lyrics as default even for folks like me who grew up with Disney's more questionable content decisions. Where is this version even from? The first time I heard it was from a female cover artist and I thought she wrote the altered lyrics for this "dark princess" series but seeing comments like this one makes me realize this is an official rewrite?

@@Kahtisemo About a year after the release of the original film disney changed the lyrics from "where they cut off your ear if they don't like your face" to "where it's flat and immense and the heat is intense" due to the original promoting a harmful racial stereotype. Most kids got their VHS copies during that first year, though, so people tend to get blindsided by the difference (especially since lyrically speaking the original flows better but they did their best).

1:48 that spin alone probably saved the new theme, the trailer, and the movie. it was "another reboot" until that musical twist showed up in the trailer,... but it was expected, because, "generic trailer move meant to spice it up"... but then the movie rolls up, THIS features in the opening, you're hooked up to see WHAT ELSE they come up with, and then 1-2-3, Friend Like Me, Prince Ali, and *BLAM!* Speechless.... ding-ding-ding! *_K.O._*

Wow! The last chorus, you definitely elevated it to new heights. This cover has a lot of passion and conviction, and the vocal production is near-perfect. I was worried that, given the low pitches, your vocals might fall flat or sharp. However, you've nailed it. For me, it's a perfect 10/10. Congratulations on an all-star performance.
