Fun fact about the Egyptian word for table (تربيزة): It may not come from the same root as table (a Germanic loan word from latin "tabula"), but it does have an indo-european origin. It actually originates from the Ancient greek word τραπέζι ("trapezi") which also has a place in English as the trapezoid (in Ancient Greek: "little table")!
In original Arabic language, its name is actually (منضدة ). In Egypt, we call it a table because it is a colloquial dialect. In fact, the Arabic language is independent and unparalleled
JazakAllah Khair Sister, I’m learning MSA and Levantine Arabic since I reverted to Islam and want to understand the Quran and speak with other brothers around me who know it InshaAllah:)
Hello my Brother! My dad is also Egyptian, but he did not speak good Arabic. Therefore I was not able to learn unfortunately either. However I can speak fluently in Farsi, because my mom is Persian. Maybe one day I can learn Egyptian Arabic hopefully….🇪🇬🇮🇷

We had to learn Arabic in school ( Dubai) and it was definitely everyone who wasn’t a native speakers least favourite lesson. This video was more entertaining and interesting than 5 years of it in school ( and I think I learnt more lol)
Me too I’m Egyptian girl but I love and I was born in France and when you say words in Egyptian we can listen your English accent and this is so cut . Have a good day !

This book is standard Arabic, but I speak the Egyptian Dialect. All grammar is the same in Arabic, but every country has its own dialect [different vocabulary and accents].
Amazing, been looking for something that would help my goal of learning Arabic while falling asleep, and this is perfect, I'm shocked I had to search in Arabic just to find it. Shame about the American accent but I won't hold it against you. ;)
