Just saw this video in my recommends but basically Bariis just literally means rice. The two guys got Bariis Iyo hilib (rice and meat-goat meat to be specific). The other guy got Chapaati and meat and it was wrapped (so yeah it is Somali food, just presented differently). Next time y’all should deffo try the sport- it’s an assortment of different types of food. You can have pasta and rice w/ different meats.

Somalis are known to have one of the best foods in the world. All you ate is 100% somali. That is not burrito, it is somali jabati, it has completely different ingredients and in somalia , people never heard of mexican food, yet this has been part ofbthe culture for thousands of years.

Yemeni sabaya is more closer to Mexican burrito than somali jabati. Yemeni sabaya is cooked dry while somali jabati is cooked with butter. Yemeni sabaya is cooked from one side while somali jabati is cooked from both sides. Know the difference niyow
