The Ecoburn range of stoves include the Ecoburn 5, Ecoburn 5 Wide, Ecoburn 7 wood burning and multi fuel stoves. These are UK manufactured by Arada in Devon - ( who also produce Hamlet stoves - their budget line) and previously owned and manufactured Aarrow and Villager stoves.
The Ecoburn stoves have a lovely classical feel but all the new technology we have come to expect of more modern produced stoves - such as low carbon outputs, superb performance, low fuel consumption, fantastic heat throw and more.
In this video, Sarah-Jane from Natural Heating gives a thorough review of how these burn and control and goes over all the details

When did they start putting a stainless steel baffle in the top? My 5 Wide is not two years old and the baffle was badly corroded within six months. The fire brick at the back of the stove is very thin, it was also broken along the vertical false seam within six months and is now in four seperate pieces and will need an expensive replacement. The airflow control levers at the front are small and not easily adjusted - the "tool" provided is next to useless and eventually I had a small extension added to the left hand control to avoid burnt fingers (and yes, the controls DO get hot, as does the lower edge of the front door). The airflow cleaning may be an improvement over Villager style stoves but it is far from the best that I have seen. Wood consumption is quite high (search for other reviews) although, when running the fire picture is very good. As this is a narrow version (front to back) you will find yourself topping up frequently . I cannot comment on the riddling system as I have never used smokeless fuel. Overall if I were to rate this stove out of five it would just scrape a two and I am not a happy owner.

What fuel are you burning ? Are you burning actual logs or waste such as pallets ? Cedar is one to watch for and we find can easily cause overfiring issues if it has a higher resin content (can burn ridiculously hot - I did a video on that) There isn’t acid in wood - deforming or deterioration of a metal baffle normally happens with over loading or excessive draw … or mixing wood and smokeless fuel together. You can tell a mile away if it’s been over heated by the colour of the metal. I’ve not been able to fault this on spillage and burn times and controls have proved decent Didn’t have an issue with controls

@@naturalheatinghellfirepizza Mostly oak, ash, beech and a little cherry, all well dried. The only soft wood it ever sees is some kindling.

@@LickorishAllsorts Have you reached out to Arada by phone ? Mike and Alice are actually very good. Sounds like it's burning too hot. Worth checking chimney isn't over drawing (pascal draw through the flue) or firebox isn't being overloaded. Once at temperature, a 5kw stove should really only be burning 1 > 1.5kg of fuel per hour. Baffle wouldn't corrode with wood as no acid in wood - sounds like heat damage. I'd reach out to Arada or who you purchased from.
