The Garifuna people are mostly black but they're still considered indigenous because many of their traditions come from the Caribs. There's a difference between being a mixed descendant, which is totally legitimate, and calling the indigenous peoples "fakers". Afro-mestizos are a real thing and it's important to recognize themm.
