To see the setup procedure check out : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AlDdmSzHxnQ.html&ab_channel=WesternAustraliaNowandThen It is the same for both the Aldi and ARB annexe (I only zipped the Aldi floor on once and left it there permanently).
I have an arb and a another brand awning with the awning rooms. And I favor the alternative over the arb. It too has a detachable floor, but it is heavy duty pvc. It is 6.5 x 8, I wish they made a larger one. I rarely use my arb. Good video.
I was looking at how you had the lights stuck to the tent wall. then you opened the wall to see the trailer. and here i thought it was magic. Aldi looks like it would be a good buy.
Haha, yes the metal wall of the trailer works perfectly for that. I did work out a way to put lights anywhere on canvas without having to have metal behind it. I just bought some strong rare earth magnets and use lights that also have magnets. Works a treat but you have to have someone on the other side of the canvas to place the magnets in some areas.
I wasn't able to show it in the video but we have a strip LED light that works really well where the clear overhead section of the annexe is. Will probably put that bit in a later vid.
Had a quick look and it appears that Aldi is in the US : www.aisleofshame.com/aldi-state-locations/ You would have to check with local stores to see what they have available.
Hi, not really sure how you can get them in the USA as Aldi gear seems to be exclusive to Aldi stores. There are some Aldi stores in the USA but I'm not sure of the locations. Maybe contect them direct and see if they can ship to you. Because they bring different gear in at different times, they don't always have stoock available so sometimes you have to wait until they bring them in to stores.
Good question, didn't really think about that as I have I think I have footage of setups in older videos. Both identical to set up and pull down and both are really simple. I measured the time to set up the Aldi one once and from start to finish it was just over 12 minutes for the whole setup with awning and annexe. For just the awning it is about 5 minutes. ARB would be exactly the same. (I found the setup video and pinned it to the top of the comments.)
They did have a very good name at one time but perhaps they are going down the same road as most other companies where quick profits mean more than long term customers... So far we are happy enough with this annexe but we haven't used it many times yet. It certainly was expensive.
