What makes this place so a rarity is that for such a big city over 200,000 people you don't get a big nature preserve like this. I mean you walk on the concrete trails, go mountain biking on a separate trail, or go hiking if you feel like it. There is also the playground at the beginning of the park, but really you practice hiking when you do the real thing if you decide to go to a national park and go on a say 2 to 5 mile hike up hill since it's a ridge.
