hey Kevin, to answer your question about how Arby's makes burgers -- these come precooked and are deep fried! I think that might explain the strange texture. thanks for the review!

Who knows if these will take off for Arby's Wagyu is a breed of cattle that originated in Japan. Known for its high level of marbling which gives the meat an unmistakable taste and buttery texture, Wagyu beef is a delicacy served at fancy restaurants. Cleveland's Marble Room, for example, serves a Wagyu strip that starts at $120 for a 4 oz. steak.

These taste good but Arby’s will never convince me it contains an ounce of Wagyu meat. I’ve had authentic Wagyu beef and 1, it’s expensive, number two it has a unique flavor. This burger has zero traces of Wagyu taste.

Nice to know they are fried and reheated. To date, my favorite burger is Whataburger Jr and I sit in the parking lot to enjoy it while it is fresh.

Yes I had the deluxe it tasted just like a Big Mac. Not complaining I love Big Mac. I would rather they bring back the loaded Italian sub sandwich

Mine was totally raw . So was the wifes . First thing i did was scrape all the crap off it . And finish cooking it ! Ill take a whopper , big mac or double stack over this burger EVERY time !

I thought the same thing. I found out they come in frozen and they deep fry them for a minute or so. I like the char broil taste from Carls Jr or Burger King more but like the size of this patty. It was fun to try once.

My experience was it was a potentially good burger but it would have been much better if I was able to get it medium rare and probably without the sauce. Any exceptional meat is going to taste good without embellishments. If you are cooking a dry aged rib eye all it needs is salt and pepper. Wagyu is an even more expensive cut. The meat was overcooked and would have been so much better if it was tender like an In and Out texture. When he says dense and tough I agree. It was tasty enough. But ask I have found as with other Wagyu offerings like at Carl's Jr. you can't get something for nothing. Tasted otherwise fine but not exceptional. The meat patty was substantial, I will give it that. I had very high hopes for this one because Arby's Market Fresh sandwiches, particularly the loaded italian and bacon/turkey are a better sandwich than almost anyone can make at home.

Great review Kevin! I have a friend that works at Arby's and the burgers 25% wagyu and 75% regular beef. Also, they deep fry the burgers that's why the texture is different.

@@ryandiggs750 Yes. Reportedly they cook them via sous vide (bagged in plastic, then cooked in temperature-controlled water), freeze them, and ship them to the restaurants. When they're prepared, they deep fry them. (Arby's restaurants don't have grills.)

There are a few comments as to how they cook them so I don't need to rehash. Arby's doesn't have a grill which is why they have to deep-fry them. I go to Arby's quite a bit and know the manager and a couple of the girls working there and he gave me the Deluxe one free(I also had a $30 order I was picking up). It was fairly dead so he explained how they come in, how they are prepared, that it is medium-well so it will have some pink inside, so I was able to have him hold the red onion and skipping nuking it to melt the cheeses. The heat of the burger melted the cheese pretty well. Not impressed. Plus really bad after-taste and gave me a bad case of indigestion. The burger's are $5.99 and $7.19 here. Good review. I have tried the burger from Arby's and I didn't like it! It looked and tasted like it was medium rare but if I want to go somewhere and get a burger I will go to either Wendy's or maybe Hardee's.

Ya shoulda grabbed up that market fresh strawberry lemonade, so good👍, after watching your vid I realized I got charged for the Bacon ranch burger, dang Arby's done got me this time, Have you watched the endorsements breakdown vid of these sandwiches yet? Liked the vid, We reviewed it earlier today This sandwich was screaming flavors, except for the star of the show which was definitely lacking, quite alot, disappointed

The burgers look good, a substantial burger. You’re right wagyu is really expensive and got a very high ratio of fat to meat marbled throughout. There must be some loophole where they can reference the name with only a small quantity of the meat actually used. Thanks for the review Kevin.

It is premium beef with good marbling and known for flavor and texture. It is expensive so I question mixing it with regular ground beef.

I had the classic wagu too, it was ok. It tasted good but I agree with u it wasn't that great. It wasn't juicy. It was average. Something different but at $6.50 here in Pennsylvania I won't be getting it often. Maybe once in a while type burger.

Wagyu is supposed to be the OPPOSITE of lean… fatty, melt in your mouth etc… definitely should not remotely be tough… should be way more tender than most burgers… so those seem highly disappointing… good review 👍🏽

I really enjoyed their Tex Mex thick burger and their grilled cheese thick burger was my all time favorite but they hardly ever kept it on the menu. But now I don’t know what the hell happened to em but their food is just terrible. My dad says their breakfast lineup is decent tho.

Just a comment on Arby's. Their roast beef sandwiches are nothing like the late, great Roy Rodgers roast beef sandwiches which were carved from an actual side of beef. Arby's roast beef isn't actual carved beef. You can tell the difference. I stick with their deli turkey sandwiches. They are decent and if you notice on the flyers they distribute with discount coupons they no longer have a turkey combo or a discounted individual sandwich. Of the large chains there are only few places to get decent burgers. #1 is in In-N-Out in the West Coast. #2 is Five Guys who have outlets mostly in the East and #3 is Wendy's. For nationwide chain Wendy's doesn't freeze their burgers. They operate similar to In-N-Out and Five Guys but not the same quality. Both In and Five Guys also used cut potatoes that aren't frozen. Then we have the cult of Shake Shack. An extremely small burger and the fries are frozen. Meanwhile tourists come to NYC and line up for their burgers. It's strictly FOMO. I have a Shake Shack a block from home in NJ. I don't go there. I have eaten at Shake Shack's three times I don't see what the fuss is about. Meanwhile their burgers are smaller than a basic burger at McDonald's

I just ate one today. Very good...the burgers are sent almost fully cooked in a special bag to keep them moist. They are then deep fried for a few minutes to heat the up. It gives them a little crispy outside and warm and moist on the inside. NOT healthy!!....but tasty. You said it was a bit over done.....but your picture shows it's a bit pink on the inside .. I disagree with your opinion. I ate the burger today and it was delicious. A little crispy on the outside, tender and moist on the inside. I liked the texture mix..... I got the deluxe....lots of " hamburger sauce" ...juicy, fresh toppings.... Worth every penny....imo.

There's Japanese wagyu and American wagyu. Japanese is super fatty and super expensive. American is much less fatty and much less expensive. The fact that these burgers are dry and under $10 guarantees there's no Japanese wagyu in there at all and probably only a small amount of American wagyu. In other words: marketing gimmick.

I THOUGHT I WANTED TO TRY IT. BUT IT'S A HARD NO FOR ME. DOESN'T LOOK APPEALING AT ALL 👎👎. THE 🍔 BURGER TO ME WAS THE WORST LOOKING TOO. SO DRY HARD & DENSE. Most people are giving the Deluxe burger 8-9 and the Bacon Ranch much better. How can anyone compare this burger to Five Guys?? Just on price alone, we are taking about a 50-60% increase in price which means Arby's is King of the burger until some other fast food chain dethrones them -- McDs, Burger King and Wendys. I'm surprised Five Guys is still around in my State. They were popular for a few year's then they couldn't compete with Fast food bargain's. They replaced Bojangle's in my State. Which was a local favorite.
