that is why you never give up..... you never know which spot might open up... a chance to rattle a cage or just cruise on bye... which ever a championship was on the line.... he found what he needed to win .. congrats champ 2x!
They crossed the finish line before Ty Gibbs got to the finish line/received the checkered flag. That means they still have to complete their lap. The only time they wouldn’t have completed this last lap is if they were behind Ty Gibbs, then the race is also finished for them. Your race isn’t complete until either you drive under the checkered flag or a yellow flag comes out. Hopefully I cleared it up a bit for you 🙂.
