I love how realistic you are. Some other reviewers were so harsh with their reviews over little things. I wanted a realistic review from someone who understands.
Thx..i try to keep the reviews more down to earth. Im not a huge arcade guru just a gamer that got arcade bug. Money comes and goes...the memories, nostalgia , and the fun is what you get. Not many ppl talk about that
My volume might lower a nock or two every couple of days while im really beating them controls but i love this thing because all the games and tracks your wins and Losses.
The machine is dope man, what other cab are you planning on getting? I just did an unboxing video of my MVC2 cabinet yesterday too. Keep up the great videos. Subscribed!
The only games that really means a lot is the games that failed on consoles that never go released again on better consoles that’s Marvel super heroes Vs street fighter and X-men Vs street fighter those failed on the PS1 never had a chance playing them perfect cause capcom never released them ever again digital or physical you would see marvel vs capcom and marvel super heroes on Xbox 360 and PS3 digital then comes marvel vs capcom 2 digital that’s why I don’t see marvel vs capcom 2 as a big deal that game was released on Xbox PS2 Sega Dreamcast 3 consoles that ran it perfect no need to buy this arcade 1 up for marvel vs capcom 2
Yo Swat, awesome review man. I also love the video filter you use! It has an awesome retro vibe to it and it's awesome. You have a sweet setup too. Honestly, I'm surprised it's 300$ considering they had arcade cabs going for 700$+. I'm never going to get these arcade cabs because I'm an emulation guy mostly and cabs take up a lot of space, but I love seeing people review these.
Love mines especially the marque. Ive had a few common issues like audio issues , volume randomly getting lowered during gameplay once and i had the game freeze up for a second one time that i was playing but im sure those will all get fixed with the next update.
Cons: sound issues, buttons are crappy, no online for mvc2, marquee is a little pixelated, freezes sometimes. Pros: Joysticks are good, nice solid library games, Side art is clean and sharp. Question is it worth $600? That’s up to y’all
And is it the actual BUTTONS themselves that are 'sub-par', and aren't quite the 'correct' shape, or made from 'cheap' plastic or something? Or is it the SWITCHES they're using that aren't very good, and they thought would be an 'easy' way to cut costs? Though it seems that using the BEST switches would be the BEST place for 1up to 'spend' money, since the 'joystick/buttons' are what you're DIRECTLY interacting with!
@@SWAT919 Interesting, it sounds like your complaint is with whatever 'switches' they're using in the builds... Assuming these things use a 'standard' arcade control input then the joystick is activating physical plastic 'switches', and just like with computer keyboards, different switches have a different 'feeling/action'. I'm not sure if there's a traditional 'standard' switch brand, or if each company sourced different components, but it sounds like whatever 1Up used in that unit aren't quite what you're accustomed to compared to 'genuine' arcade machines. I wonder if they just manufacture their own components at this point? I assume these are just custom 'mini-pcs' configured to run some custom MAME system loaded up with whatever games have been licensed? And you're generally happy with the screens? It's been getting harder to find suitable replace CRT monitors, so I might have to bite the bullet and just go LCD... There used to be a few at the thrift shop, but now everything is either WAY too big, too small, or they actually want serious MONEY for it! lol
@@StreetPreacherr well i think when the pro series comes out we can see hiw god of buttons they will use. My NBA JAM Shaq XL buttons was trash as well so i changed to the led buttons
the wood is cheap ikea wood. the buttons are shit. the sticks feel a lot better than the big blue so that is good. the artwork is ok at best. they should have used the honeycomb character selection screen art. The extra wood on the sides looks dumb and out of place. but all in all, i say 499$ should be the price point. I recommend waiting till this gets discounted and i believe it will. with people canceling preorders
