@@rnnmuterle7958 This song isnt about California/America at all though, it's a tribute to some 5000 people who tried to escape East Germany by crossing the Baltic Sea on surfboards. They also have written music for films and tv shows before. They wrote the score to Her and wrote a song for the penultimate series finale of Six Feet Under

@@NorrisTheSpider This song is clearly singed by and from the perspective of a southern North American despite the geographical locations sung in it like a distorted mirror. Reminds me of Naked Lunch and Sex Pistols' Holiday in the Sun i.e everyone just trying to flee to the other side of the closed border.
