We were all still learning how to sing.. very young .. if you want to hear how Win sounded then listen to Sonata or something.. Win has become a great singer, but had to work at it.
This isn't Win singing. It's a former member of the band, forget his name, but he was part of it when they were like a four piece. He's the same one that sang "Can't Let Go of You." Which is hauntingly beautiful.
Great song, actually one of the best and earliest collaborations Win and I ever had. Win had written the lyrics and the basic guitar riffs, but there wasn't a vocal melody, so we decided to jam at this old Chruch (1999) in Copley Square, Boston because it had a piano. Win played the riff on guitar while, I came up with the vocal melody to his lyrics. I have always enjoyed making vocal melodies, creating harmonies, etc.. Also, the last vocal melody for "and we know that patience is the most important part" came to me on a road trip after kissing a girl I had been best friends with.. Anyways, I love this song, I love Win's voice on it (now), he has a super distinct voice on it at this point. Also, my buddy Tim Kyle, who was our bassist came and helped come up with the chorus part... the dadadada part.
@@rhombiperiwinkle7157 Yeah, there’s a history to every song, this one is special to me, particularly sentimental. There’s probably 50 plus songs that were never released, but maybe someday we will get them all together and do a deep cuts album for the fans.
Most(including this) aren't available to purchase at all. There is a rare album called "You Better Look Out Below" that has some early songs and demos. "Lenin" can be found on the compilation album "Dark was the Night". "Cold Wind" and "Brazil" are available to buy but only on vinyl. If you want the rest, you can use a free RU-vid to MP3 converter like "Video2mp3"
@TheAmazingSquirtle I was thinking either Will or Richard. If you have ever heard Richard's voice come through in a performance it sounds pretty similar.
