I can confirm link is still good. Just got my ALU yesterday (I bought it on sale for the NOD deal a few weeks ago). My version is the HA8802B (so I assume 1.2) and it came loaded with the 10940_A18 firmware. Updated without any problems using Tactical's guidance! Loaded One Sauce (just the arcade pack that Tactical has a video about) just fine and plays great! Thanks for the tutorial Tactical!
@@TacticalDingusHi please if you can help share my email privately with so you can forward me the firmware. I left you a comment. As no option to PM you even under RU-vid on windows. Google say the PM of you would be under the About tab but the tab no longer there Thanks
Did this last night... Followed your instructions and now my firmware is 5.68... THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH...!! Appreciate you taking the time to share this...
Was your firmware showing the 10940_A18 before you went through this process? I have a new machine also and want to verify this fix will work on mine. Thanks!
Please help me get the 5.68 firmware as you indicated it is no longer in the link. I added a comment for you but no option to PM you as no longer about tab on RU-vid. I do not want to put my private email in my the comments. I could if you can delete my comment with my email. Thanks

Thank you so much for this video helped out very much with the info. I was able to roll back my Legends Ultimate right back from 5.7.0 back to 5.6.8. I was having so many problems with 5.7.0 and I'm keeping my cabinet off the internet.
Thanks I really appreciate it that worked perfectly, I tried to do it on my atgame pinball machine but it didn’t work on that machine at all. I’m just happy that my legends gamer pro is back to 5.68 Once again, really appreciate it

Folks, the link and the update works at this time of this comment. First, for those having link problems, the link is unsecure so you have to tell your browser to continue forward and ignore the risk -- if you wish. Look for options on the page such as "info" or "advance". Second, make sure you remove the USB drive after successfull install or you'll be prompted to re-install.
Excellent Great video, since this question is being asked everyday on Reddit from new owners buying the ALU this past couple months. It's completely clear but Note it's best to use this video when installing firmware for the "first time"---must not be on 5.70 and then install this, to see benefits of older firmware. Good job on link >this is the Correct link for ALU 1.2 newer cabs and works for older ALU 1.1 cabs. (Note: Link to firmware does not work on other Atgames devices eg. Gamer mini, pro, core max, or pinball)
Thanks for the additional information, I'll be uploading a new video soon with a newer onesauce build being tested right now with the appropriate links. It doesn't require any conversion packs or changed scripter.uce files for launch. Cheers!
Did you use the firmware linked above to flash your alum? what is your model number? im looking for the correct firmware for my alum 8811 (might be an 8810)
Great upload for those that didn't read the readme files in the Awesome sAUCE updated build explaining the firmware downgrade steps. I was rushing a bit through installing the update after blindly updating my Legends Ultimate machine thinking the update was beneficial to the cabinet and not a blockade of running other things on there hahahah.
Finally able to play some damn games again, I got the wrong 5.68 version that hosed all the internal games, but my CoinopsX ran on it, now thats fixed. Haven't touched the damn thing since Atgames hosed it.
@@Jonesville-Rat yup, I installed the 5.68 for the V 1.0 machine, took a while to figure that mess out. Atgames has been useless during this entire fiasco. Just happy that all my drives/games work now, after sitting bricked for 3 months.
I just tried this in my brand new ALU as of 10-26-2024. On the box, it says Model No. HA8802C. It came installed with firmware 10940_A21. I did not have any luck with these instructions unfortunately :( The USB properly mounts, but basically tells me if I want to do anything with it I have to enable "Advanced Features" which includes OTG and "External Applications". When I try and enable, it asks me to pay $15... ok, so I try to pay, but it gives me an error. I have hope though, someone has suggested these are the factory installed firmware and a new firmware will be available and pushed to the device within 24 hours...I will wait and update!
yeah I was in the same situation when I initially turn mine on. Then I did the same thing and then I m with 5.68. But my story just started there. That error addon files issue really drove me crazy. I googled a lots and tried different ways like single vs dual usbs solutions, I bought 3 different brands usbs, I even bought another laptop to run the addonx tool (someone said it could be computer issue and changed to another machine it worked), but none of them work for me… I m downloading one sauce now (the latest version released Dec 5th 2023) and see if it works…
If you're doing just the core arcade one sauce build you're going to need the new scripter.uce file I can get it too you, if you do the newer 2023 full oncesauce build it's like 953gb I think you'll be good
@@KuldeepSingh-v5s1h I went with One saUCE (full build 900+gb install), it works. But still no luck with CoinOpsx, just cannot get my coinOpsx partition read by my cab (no usb icon shown on the top right corner, not just blink, it just didnt show at all.) But at least I can enjoy my favourite games now with One saUCE
Thanks so much for this, going to try this shortly. After it is on 5.68, will I need to connect to the internet to update coinops to v5? I read that I will need to connect to the internet to let the cabinet and Appxstore update.
yeah you might but the cabinet will never " Auto update " it will prompt you once in awhile but you can just exit out of it. i've only had it ask me to update to 5.7 once in 2 months
It worked on the gamer pro i just purchased this past Nov. I was on that stock firmare, and the only option was 5.70. I searched on reddit too, and joined groups but nothing. Now im on 5.68 but the 100 included games like burger time wont load. Any ideas on how to get those games back without unldating to 5.70 lol if not all good bc im really just trying to run the small one sauce build. Thank you for sharing
Just got my machine and trying to follow this but the link seems dead now. Can you send me a link to you google drive as indicated in the video. Thank you for saving me a massive headache that anyone purchasing a new machine will face!
Hi Tactical buddy Please can you send me the firmware prior to 5.7 you have in your Google drive as you indicated. I looked for option on windows and phone RU-vid version and no longer an option to find your email or way to PM. How can I privately communicate my email to you get the firmware 5.68 sent to me I have arcade1up but looking to buy legends Ultimate 300 but not being able to use coinopsx is not worth buying. I use coinops windows but like to move to the legends Ultimate but the firmware issue stopping me Thanks buddy
Moved to 5.6.8 after watching the video and system worked for a couple days but now not powering up. Worried that it’s because of the firmware downgrade and invalidated the warranty. Anyone else had a similar issue?
If you speak with AtGames support they have you do these same steps to update your firmware. It's completely safe. You might have another issue going on, hope you figure out whatever it is, let me know once you do!
Hi i recently bought a used legends ultimate arcade. The firmare is version 10942_A2. I factory reset the arcade and firmware remained the same. I tried the link for the 5.68 firmware download and the link is broken. I would be very greatful if you would be able to share the file. Can't seem to find it online anywhere. It would be a life saver. Thanks
Best money I've ever spent. It takes a little work to finally get everything up and running but once it is man is it awesome. Id recommend OneSauce over coinOpsX if you decide to run a different front end. It performs better, it's easier to install and you can run console/handheld games. Like I can play Pokemon emerald and stuff on my cabinet and super Mario world on SNES along with arcade games. It's awesome
Look up Awesome Sauce V2, it's as dumb and simple as unzip/drag and drop, launch, and play, blows Coinops X away, and you can choose what systems you want easily.
thanks man, my machine's not here yet but i do know it's model number HA8802, would the disc image file still work there despite it being named HA8800?
@@davecaron4922 its a lot of trial and error and talking to communities and doing research, it probably took me about 2 weeks of tinkering and talking on Facebook forums/Reddit groups to get a working build I was happy with. You will get there reach out to the ALU communities on Facebook or the awesomesauce group on Facebook, alot of helpful people there. Good luck!
Hi. The link say cannot be reached for me. My laptop is old so idk if that has anything to do with it. Hope I didn’t miss out. Any help would be appreciated
I've personally never heard of this bricking anyone's ALU. I've had an email chain with AT Games and they've actually directed me to sideload 5.7 this same exact way!
is you Addon working? Can you load single UCE's. I was able to make my own custom USB's easily on 5.68, when I stupidly updgraded to 5.70 it stopped working.
@@KuldeepSingh-v5s1h I haven't tried loading singular UCEs I just use the content addon packs but if your savvy with navigating file menus I don't see why you couldn't
Just asking to confirm once again, will this work with the 8802 models? And if so, should I first log in online to set up my device, or just install this right off the bat. My cabinet is expected to arrive this week
This works for the 8802 machines. It doesn't hurt to log in online first, but if you get a prompt to update your firmware, don't let it update the firmware. Once you're set up, you should then be able to update the firmware using the method that was explained in the video.
Thanks man, if I just want to run the main file and arcade core. Do I need a specific script? Because it says works only firmware 4.20 or lower. One thing i want to ask can we still have acess to coinopsX in appstoreX?
Yeah you will still have access and for one sauce you will need to download the conversation pack. Look around on the archive.org one sauce creator page you'll find it. If you have a newer cabinet you will probably need version 1.1/1.2 this is for one sauce. All you do is download the conversion pack and unzip the correct one into the root of your flash drive and hit yes to replace existing files. I think if you look in the core pack download page on archive.org there will be a link for the conversion pack files it will contain four different conversion pack files. You will want to use the one. Like I said that is 1.1/1.2 that would be your cabinet if you recently bought it new. It is in the works right now I'm talking with somebody that is programming it He's having me test it but it has no need for the conversion files it just works naturally with 5.68 and 5.70
I have a brand new ALU that is HA8801-097d02 and 10940_A18 that I don't see Coinops available as described in this video. Does it matter if I use the ha8800_update.img firmware file on my machine that is an HA8801?
@AnalogCardboard I tried this and the machine seems to recognize the flash drive but it never goes to the firmware update or anything. Tried both USB ports and still nothing. Any additional advice?
Success!! I tried a different flash drive and it installed the 5.68 firmware and I was able to get Coinopsx running. Thanks for this video and the replies!
I have a new ALU and I uploaded 5.68 firmware. I load games exactly as shown by the Cabinet owners, I use exactly the same programs, but my games are only seen by ALU, but they cannot load, do you know where the problem could be?
I've done all of this and it still doesn't work. I put the usb in the arcade, it detects there's an update and asks if I want to update now, it hangs for a minute... then does nothing. I've made sure the file is named correctly, factory reset the machine, and it still doesn't work. Anyone else having the same issue, or has anyone else figured out a trick to get it to work?
@AnalogCardboard Yep, I even long-form reformatted the usb and made sure it was fat32. Tried both usb ports. Tried having the usb in each port while I turned the machine on. Nothing. I'll keep trying, because some people also say it's finicky but I think I'll just have to contact atgames in the near future.
I am looking for the ha8802 version of that firmware and I can’t find it anywhere . This one doesn’t work on the ha8802😢😢😢😢 please someone who can help me . Thx
@@JAYJAY1787 I found the update for the 1.1 and downloaded it on a stick , plugged it in , disabled internet and worked like a charm. I’m now on5.68 and leaves my internet disabled. Have the coinopsx working and the 1tb auwsomecause
I'm not 100% sure I don't want to give you the wrong information but a good place to ask would be one of the arcade legends ultimate facebook groups, look around you will find them. Best of luck!
I would recommend factory resetting the cabinet then. I show how to do this in the video. Then try again if you wish to try changing the firmware again. These are the exact steps at games gives you to back up or change the factory firmware
