Reginald Andrews, don't you actually mean Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z? There's no Shinobi game for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 (other than emulated versions of the previous arcade and Mega Drive games) and actually the last new Shinobi game was Shinobi 3D for the Nintendo 3DS several years ago.
You can't get anymore 90's then Sega and golden axe. I like the whole barbarian theme this game has. Also the music and characters for this game are great.
Well it was a beat 'em up first, which is essentially a fighting game where you deal with multiple foes at once, so it makes sense at least there would be one.
Sega never gets enough credit for their IPs, but thats partially their fault because they barely ever do anything with them to keep them relevant. Tio much Sonic.
Can't decide. I see old-fashioned Capcom (Darkstalkers, SF) but I also see similarities of SNK (such as Samurai Showdown. Shiranui Gen and Haoumaru's stance). Aside from that, looks like a typically fun retro game. Simple and smashing.
@@SDSOverfiend I too see a more contained tone and slow tactical approach to the fighting genre akin to Samurai Shodown and the like. Not as combo-based and frame-breaking as Street Fighter and its peers (even the earlier ones).
Wow this looks epic! I remember seeing this in one of the older EGM magazines back in the mid 90s and always wondered what this was like. It maybe a bit of a Samurai Showdown clone, but I do like the look, characters and world of this one!
I used to have a big multi page review of this game in one of my old sega pro magazines, I always wanted to play it really badly, but sadly I never got the chance. It's great to at least get to see what the gameplay was like, and I'm not disappointed.
Definitely has some visual hints of a Samurai Shodown 1, 2 SNK arcade style fighting game. Especially Gillius Thunderhead's green cave level too, resembling Genan's cave stage.
Great to see some arcade footage! Thanks! The OST is better on the Saturn version but i love the extra animations and voice samples on the arcade version!
If I remember correctly, the voice samples are omitted depending on the region similar with what Namco did with Soul Edge and Soul Calibur(arcade versions).
Grasias por subir este video de uno de mis videojuegos favoritos de la saga Golden Axe : The Duel, me gustaria si pudieras pasar la campaña aventura con cada uno de los personjes de este juego.
This is one of those games that had the skeletons of timeless classic, but suffered from not being play tested enough. The unblockable magic ultimate attacks were nice when you’re just playing against the AI, but it gets messy against another player.
I have this ROM for MAME but i dunno why, the game is slow as hell... and this happens no matter what version os MAME I use... is it a problem with the ROM, maybe?
Sadess me How underrated this Good Arcade Fighting version of GOLDEN AXE got I mean i will always prefer the style of beat him up hack n slash adventure of GOLDEN AXE 2 or 3 But this's Great looking
Very nice! A few things I would like to state, first is Panchos, dumb character with a great theme, the second being Death Adder says we got slide kicks to try and lame it out, and last of my statements, good job G. Axe fight!
Yeah, sorry. I know it's the original but since english is not my first language, I made a mistake.

Victor Andrade o que ele realmente quis dizer é: esse jogo roda na placa st-v, q é um hardware de fliperama da sega praticamente identico ao saturn, normalmente gerando ports perfeitos.
Victor Andrade Music. They did arranged versions of all the tracks for the Saturn version. Generally, the Saturn tracks sound better. On the PAL edition at least this seemed to come with the loss of a few voice clips, like the announcer saying character names. Death Adder's special death wasn't there either, as I recall.
Is it me, or would this franchise (Golden Axe) be a MUCH better, as well as FAR more realistic, idea for Sega to turn into a successful video game movie?
Now, I consider myself quite the Golden Axe fan but I can't figure out where Green, Zoma, Jamm, Keel or Doc come from unless they're based on generic enemies or bosses in the series...
hope you don't feel your comment is too old for a response. Essentially they are original characters introduced in this game. Technically all the characters are new except for Death Adder as this game takes place 80 years after the second arcade game. Kain, Milan, and Gillius are based on the original three heroes. Milan and Gillius being direct descendants.
The Saturn version used CD arrangements of this Arcade version's ost. I don't usually like "alterations" to any kind of source material, but I must acknowledge that nearly every track is improved in the Saturn version. Check it out sometime.
Oh man fighting games are cheap (by that I mean a reasonable price) and a lot of them are easy to get ahold of. I wanna get GA:TD. This also should be a candidate for the Sega Saturn Mini. SS Mini make it happen! I don’t care what anyone tells me!
It’s a shame they chose to go with all these non-Golden Axe characters. The art is awesome and would have been amazing to see Tyris Flare, Ax=Battler, and the Revenge of Death=Adder cast in this game.
I have this on mame and when I click to play the game comes up and my controls don't work is there a way around it what control works with is game I am running on raspberry pi 3 useing PS3 sanwa fight stick please help me 🙁🤗🕹👾
