Bring back old memories. I was very good at this game. Completed all level with only one coin. Many gamers will gather behind me to see how it's done. Too bad we dont have social media back in the 90 to do FB live
me paso exactamente lo mismo, una solo vez pude completar todos los niveles con una sola moneda, todos atrás mirando fue épico jajaj. saludos.....The exact same thing happened to me, only once I was able to complete all the levels with a single coin, all of them looking back was epic hahaha. regards
i remember playing this with my buddy, dual player in the arcade...played until 2-5 stage and stopped as we are sweating in the aircond and extremely tired....those were the days when we are in our teenage years....
Así es, había que ser bastante ágil con la máquina. Solía jugar con un amigo y nos repartíamos el tipo de munición rojoa y azul, llegábamos al final hasta los créditos. Nos sentíamos como unos cracks. jejej bonita época de ARCADE.
How is it that multi-million dollar studios keep adapting videogames with complex stories and then f**k them up hard and easy by infusing them with their own story ideas but games with simple stories like RAIDEN, studios don't even bother adapting to script?
Was a lovely game just at times when there was too much happening on screen the game would slow down don't think the developers took that into consideration
@@Markboyy1984 Wow, didn't think anyone would respond back to such an old comment. :) I looked it up and on Wikipedia, it says Toaplan is the developer. Taito published it for Japan under the name of Flying Shark. For North America, it was renamed to Sky Shark, which was then published by Romstar.
Oh and the help of invincibility . I've seen them get hit.. Lol turned it back off when it went back to stage 1 per say no movement lol, good ole flashback though 👍
taking the red and blue weapon powerups alternatingly only changes the weapon but does not power up your weapon why did you do that though you probably did it through the game, this is not the way it should be played normally
Raiden was one of my favorite arcade game in the 90s. Me and my buddy use to finish the entire game on one quarter each. We thought we were good...I saw this one guy finished the game by himself on one quarter.
There was a bar in my town that had an arcade room back when I was a kid (2001/2002). I would dump so many quarters into this game and other arcade games like mortal kombat, area 51, revolution x, virtual cop, ect. Shame they got closed down because they were selling beer too minors LOL.
Used to play this all the time with two players at laundry lol, so much more fun. You get super missiles when you merge two starships. Looked like you were in cheat mode though. How you didn't get killed at the end with last boss, you had missiles going thought you lol
This is a fantastic game! One of the best ever. Everything is just so nice, the graphic, the music, the gameplay, the perfect blend. Too bad the new one is so awful, I know some people like it, but I just cannot even play it without actually feeling ill, very strange. Wish there was more games like this made today! That was good.. And not bullet hell.. Sky Force is very good though, even though it seems SHMUP "fans" does not like that kind of "Euro-shmups"...
I have nearly every MOSS developed entry, which is Raiden III, the 360 version of Raiden IV and the X Mikado Remix on Switch, and the Director's Cut of Raiden V on PS4
@@Bloodreign1 It's a throwback to two Toaplan shmup game songs: "Against the Attack", the Level 2 music from Flying Shark / Sky Shark and "Far Away", the Level 1 music from Truxton/Tatsujin.
35:50 me desculpe, mas acho que aqui rolou um cheat... impossível não ter sido abatido... minha opinião... por muito menos só de tocar na asa já era destruído.
3rd boss is tough without bombs, dodging the fireballs on the second phase. I would call cheat but having practiced the first phase from a save state and maybe it is possible.
At 2:13, he should've kept the blue lazer weapon, I would always just build it up until it's s huge, wide, beam. You're good though, hella good, My cousin would always trip out on how well I flew the ✈.
i notice he keeps changing between the concentrated blue laser weapon and the spread-out red bullets weapon. if he keeps to the blue weapon, does it get stronger every time? if he alternates between blue and red weapon, does the weapon get stronger at all?
Game play 50c Just watching game play 50c Just all star one 1 vs me The is you to do just watching game play 50c video The just i Finished movie and friends
Spellbinding. Man, I played the shit out of this game in this little arcade room in the Elliot Center (Student Union) at UNCG in N. Carolina. Feeding quarters into it when I should have been doing grad school stuff, lol!
bak n the dayz ,thiz game waz only on arcade ! quarter muncher type ! thiz game cost me about 15 bukz n quartez ! ( about 30$ nowawaydayz ) yeah im old school ! i didnt care ! i waz determined 2 beat thiz game n i did ! Best money ever spent !! PERIOD !!
I must admit I never played this game in the arcade as its too generic and unoriginal for me - (I preferred shoot-em-ups like R-type and Mr Heli) but I did complete the PS1 version on 1 life. The thing that makes this game and all other similar ones totally crap is that If you lose a life its game over as you have no chance of surviving with a pissy gun and hoards of enemies - crap programing
@@danielgeronimo5538 actually... tons of shumps do this. It's known as "Gradius Syndrome" where after the player is hit, they lose all their power ups at death
Solo está usando un mod de invencibilidad del mame. Si es para mostrar el juego de principio a fin, no lo veo mal. Es obvio que es imposible de terminar con una vida.
Great game loved the series! They have a mame emulator on Google play store with this rom included but I can't get use to the whole touch screen controls games like this need a controller!
