I've been to arcade monsters since they opened and seeing how far they've come really makes me happy to live in the Orlando area. If anyone is in the area make a stop here and you'll experience a great time!
I've been to the I-Drive location several times after being a loyal Oviedo location patron. This location is wonderful for larger and more diverse parties. The Oviedo location is also a beast. For me it boils down to available games. Admittedly I exclusively visit the I-Drive location for the game Gyruss. That said, I do also very much enjoy their pristine Joust , Robotron, and the timeless NBA JAM!!!! cabinets. Every game is kept up to the same standards when they were released. And don't get it twisted. I've visited some other Bar-Cades that don't keep their machines well maintained. That is a huge let down after getting all excited only to have buttons or joysticks not working right. Arcade Monsters gets it right. Thanks for this wonderful video. I shared it with a friend who is gonna be overjoyed that places like this exist.
For the international drive location will yall be getting a second 2nd Chunithm, Wacca, Beatmania, and Sound Voltex machine in the future seeing 1 machine for those especially when it gets busy for Rhythm gamers will be difficult to play
I would love to see Darius Burst, the deluxe After Burner II cabinet seen in Terminator 2, and the classic Mortal Kombat games (the first one, 3 and 4).
Anyone watching and not knowing what a 10 player Killer Queen is, DO NOT SLEEP on it. This game is worth the price of admission alone. It draws a crowd, easy to understand, and games are ultra competitive. I can't wait to visit! Wonder if they can get an Enter the Gungeon cab....hmm
Looks great although it doesn’t look like anything for Florida residents. And w the pricing changing across areas eh.. they may keep me from being a regular. I think I’ll go check it out one time just to see.
The game next to Batman is a train simulation game called Densha De Go. It's very infamous for being a particularly hard game to master, since one of the metrics of success is being able to stop at the stations within MILLIMETERS, all on a tight timr schedule.
Sad that almost all their cabinets are not real arcade Hardware, they are M.A.M.E. or emulated in one way or another, no real Japanese cabs, no real street fighter 3 thirdstrike, every arcade game has bat tops on the sticks just because its "aesthetically pleasing". Go and spend your money here if you want an upgraded experience of Chuck E. Cheese without the winning game tickets and prizes. Arcade Oddysey is way better in terms of real games with real arcade hardware and know what kind of games to put in their arcade to cater to people who goto arcades for a reason, The games! Which is more than just the atmosphere and the experience.
Definitely appreciate this video. It would be dope if they could get a couple of F-Zero AX machines here. I believe they removed the one from the McDonalds on I-Drive some time ago.
Probably my favorite thing about Arcade Monsters is the art. It's such a vibe. They somehow manage to capture that old-school arcade vibe with a modern touch and feel. If anyone here hasn't been, definitely make it a stop next time you're in Orlando!
This place looks incredible; really interested in trying Starwing Paradox if I ever get to swing by, not every day I find a mecha game I hadn't heard of before.
