@Stillvip187 The lines at the top that you are describing are probably related to a bad cap somewhere on your board. You might want to install a cap kit to see if this solves the problem. We have also featured your question on episode 15 of our Q&A podcast. Please listen to it for more of our thoughts on your question. Thank you for your question and good luck with your future repairs.

My flyback blew out on my Hantarex MTC-9000 19" monitor and I heard when that happens, the HOT or Horizontal Output Transister is most likely bad as well. Where can I order these?

You should do a video on adjusting the focus and brightness and maybe to check the voltage on your chassis, just some ideas.

I have an iCade 60 in 1 machine with an lcd monitor. We had a power outage and when it came back up, I get sound but no video. You can see a blue light inside the monitor case.

I have just installed an Icade 60in1 PCB, which I bought second hand from eBay, into my jamma cab. Basically, the colours are screwed up on the games, more noticeably on Donkey kong because Mario and the girders are purple and not red and frogger as most things look purple, logs, lily pads, everything. On the opening test colour bar screen, most of the squares are purple and colours look dull and flat. Not nice and colourful and vibrant like I've seen on other icade 60in1's. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? I am a complete novice and never done anything like this before. Any help or suggestions would be gratefully received.

I am currently dealing with a sync issue with a k4600. The screen looks good, and the colors are reasonably bright, however, the screen is constantly scrolling. I have adjusted all the holds, and I can get it to slow down, but I can never get to a point where it isn't rolling. I plan to install a cap kit. What are some possible causes for image scrolling?

The monitor on my original Mr. Do Arcade cocktail table just started making jittery side to side motions.. Any idea on what I can do to fix it?? I don't have the keys to it, do you know a place I can buy circle keys without having to drill it out??

I have a WG19K4951 that makes a quite loud high pitched whining noise. What are some of the things that could be?

I'm not sure if you're still checking comments on this old video but it's a long shot. I recently just recapped my monitor and after plugging all the cables back in, the monitor is not coming on. it doesn't even seem to be receiving power of any sort. The screen doesn't come on at all. The arcade is powering on and the game is turning on. I can get audio from the game. The monitor doesn't come on at all, what should I do to first start debugging the issue? The last resort is obviously take the PCB out and examine all the soldering of the recap. I'm wondering if there's anything I can do before resorting to doing that.

It's possible that you either reversed the polarity on a cap or bridged a solder joint. Your best bet is to remove the chassis and double check the polarity on all of your caps as well as the solder joints to make sure nothing was accidentally bridged during the installation process. If you would like more details about your question, please tune into our Live Show Episode 51 on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at 5:30 PM CT.
