Plus tonight we will be looking at why Hardcore Arcade1Up Fans may be losing interest in the brand as well as the recreation home arcade hobby.

I don’t think people want Arcade1up to fail exactly. I think people are tired of the idiotic decisions from management and they either want a restructure or them to fail enough to sell the company so we can get back on track.

While everyone is looking at arcade 1up and going nothing new is coming what they fail to realize is what’s already come and at what rate. Since 2018 by my count there has been around 30-35 arcade licensed cabs that have come and if you divide that by now (2024) that’s around 5 or so new releases a year which is pretty darn good. Be lucky we got what we got when we got cuz if the market is slowing down now and they were releasing what they are now due to budgets or licenses we would have less than half available. We just got spoiled and was given the farm early on and people are upset now that they aren’t even coming close to that. I know it’s frustrating but at the same time I’m grateful for what I have and was able to do with my home arcade and that’s something we have to give them credit for

Wasn't Arcade 1up's business model to release the top 50 arcade titles of all time? It would be an interesting video to see how many of those titles have been released in some form to see how many are technically left.

Claw machines is the latest craze. Not sure if your city has one, but Round-1 locations are constantly packed and most of amusement they offer are claw machines. Like arcades in the past, competing Claw machine places are popping up all over the States, not just Round-1. This machine is great for families with kids.

These comments are absolutely crazy. First, this is a toy it’s not meant to lift a car!!! What do you guys want for 500 bucks!!! It’s fine for putting candy in and toys. You guys are mad. There’s literally MILLIONS of fun things you can put into this. From small bottles to gadgets to cash!!! You’re just a bunch of moaning babies. Second… you can’t buy an arcade claw machine that works and is clean for $250!! Are you dreaming g. Minimum $1000. You might find one in the middle of nowhere for $800 but good luck shipping it and cleaning it up. Add another $600!!! Lastly, there will be loads of skins for these within a year and it looks really easy to customise. I recon someone will release a simple mod for a coin mech. It just needs a slot connected to the power switch to activate a play. $60 mod. Honestly, you guys really need to grow up with your moaning lol.

I definitely do not wish for AtGames to fail. Competition is always good. That is also someone's livelihood, although I also do not feel obligated to buy something that I don't want either. So, if decisions are made that separates me and others as a consumers from them... c'est la vie. I'm with you on disposable funds. By necessity, I have started being very selective in what I can buy. I came a little late to the AtGame Dynasty having only gotten seriously interested after my wife unexpectedly passed away during from COVID in late 2021. The only Arcade1Up products I currently own are Dragon's Lair and a Space Invaders bar stool. In my house I also have the Legends Ultimate Mini, Legends Pinball HD, Addams Family 4K, and my (adult)son's Peanuts 4k. I might interested in the claw because of my Grandkid... earn your treats...lol.

You have a company that had a strangle hold on the niche of home arcade enthusiasts. All they had to do was keep releasing fun cabs with cool art while listening to the fans and doing minor quality of life changes. But instead they re release the same 4 cabs over and over again. I'll be honest, I'm happy they at least are doing something new with the claw machine.

I played a Polycade once at Meow Wolf's little arcade a few years back and it's true.. The sticks are horrible.. like in terms of being horrible they put the Suzo Happ joysticks in the KI Pro to shame.. haha... (I can actually pull off all the KI combos and am in the leaderboards for some characters with combos with the stock suzo happ KI pro sticks) Personally, I thought it might have been because the artists at Meow Wolf might have messed them up while customizing those cabinets or they where broken by museum patrons... BTW, Polycade is NOT by Nolan Bushnell, he's a mutual on twitter of mine and I've seen him say they are by his son..

I am definitly NOT losing interesting in home arcades in general in fact I'm as interested in them as I ever was. I might be losing interest in Arcade 1UP as a company though because they've had a string of cabinets that just aren't for me like the slimcadys and golden tees. Hell, I don't even like the X-Men cabinet too much because it wasn't based on a vintage arcade design and was just the midway style reskinned with a Disney tie-in skin.. BTW, if we all have less disposable income that we can't afford Arcade 1UP prices how are we supposed to be expected to be into ALPs, real pinball or ~$4,000 racing cabs made specifically for the home? The cheapest of them being over twice the price of a typical deluxe arcade1up.. Hell, even the one Pro machine (which I have and love) costs a little less after tax and shipping! Also, I'm totally not married to Arcade 1UP and if some good competition that makes decent reproductions shows up I'll get them particularly if they are competitive in price as well. I might also look into making my own scratch built which I'm heading in that direction already with all the customization I'm doing to mine.

Michael B. I can attest to the quality of Rec Room Masters, at least with their 3/4 scale model they used to sell, the Alphacade. If you're interested, I have a video review up of the smaller one I have that I skinned as a Berzerk machine. Great stream! vgv

A claw machine and a coin pusher are all I really want tbh. The claw machine looks fantastic. AND it’s the only machine of its type with a nice big clear window. It looks fantastic. I just need a coin activation switch mod please. And some skins.

Skill games are very fun. I dont' care or think about horse shoes, but put a horse shoe in my hand, and a stake to throw it at, and I will play until I am pulled away. I think if we support this we will see stacker, coin pushers...

I think the interest is fading cause before there was only arcade 1up but now multiple home arcade companies are coming out with other cabniets and the market is over saturated with to many cabniet. While arcade 1up is constantly re release of the same line up and not getting any new licenses.

It just needs coin option. The claw machine would make lots of profit in a daycare or a summer camp for middle schoolers. It needs to accept all coins Pennies nickels dimes quarters dollar coins It is better to work with coins than wrinkly dollar bills, in my opinion. Hopefully a mod does add a coin option. Claw machines are useless without that option.

Blitz would have done well if the NFL allowed late hits in blitz like we love and add NBA show time as a second game like the arcade. The Simpsons must be doing well it sold out at best buy now it's back and it's still selling for $699!!
