I've seen a ton of reviews but none as down to earth as yours. I wasn't as sold as I wanted to be comfortable with, but watching more reviews, including yours, has sold me. Especially with how gorgeous the cabinet is and has all the essentials ready for modding. Can't wait for my order to come in next week :)
No connectvity which is garbage. At Games Legends allows you to bring your own game over, or stream them it also has a back monitor for less also has a bigger playfield with a better resolution
@@jonathontsamantanis if that's what you and others want, great. Have at it. But this is only Wave 1 of a pinfall cabinet DESIGNED by Zen Studios, which knows pinball better than AtGames ever will. Subsequent waves by A1UP will only improve. AtGames will only ever have updates. While that's all well and good, its not the same. I'd hardly refer to A1UP not having WiFi capability "garbage".
Totally right Luis! Like what you want! Others what to buy something else that’s their problem. It’s funny how some folks seem to think their view is the only correct one for everyone.
@@lchambers56 Not having connectivity is such a missed opportunity, when you have to purchase another machine to add tables you have a problem. Whether you want to admit this or not, as far as there tables I have Zen on every system I own so I know there games and know they do things well, 1 Up not so much.
So no tournaments, no playing with other players, gaming is about connecting it really was a garbage move, because 1Up relies on selling cabinets not software like Zen
The only problem I have with the table is the 720p. That’s it. If they could just get the picture up to 1080p it would be a perfect home pinball machine
Thank you for this awesome video! I have been looking at these machines and your review was very informative and helpful. I'm hoping to one day save enough to get a real pinball machine and will hopefully be getting a virtual one until then! Have a great day!
Oh ya!.. this was the review I & I'm sure many others have been waiting for. I've also been wondering if at some point they will offer say 3 different machine art choices. If so I'm rooting for the other 2 options to be Fish Tales & Medieval Madness.👍
Hi! Just subscribed, liked and hit the bell for notifications for your channel! Can you show gameplay of the different games including Mars Attacks, etc? That would be so great, interesting and helpful
@@bw6588 Unfortunatly maybe but sincerely what's bugging me the most here is they really need to put a 1080p screen in there because at 720p i'm really not impressed. Even in this video you can clearly see all the stairs and the aliasing all over the flippers. This is not what i had hoped for. I was planning to buy Attack from mars but now I think i'll have to wait. 1080p should be the standard especially for a virtual pinball. 4K would be best but i do understand it would cost too much but seriously 720p ?? This is lame and lazy. I don't think it would have cost that much more to have a 1080p screen in there with a good anti aliasing software to soften the lines. This looks like a Wii title and a very cheap virtual pinball table. I was expecting more from A1up. Disapointed.
@@longann7560 but I agree, very disappointing that these games don’t run at a higher resolution. That being said, I still think it’s going to be a lot of fun!
Can you do another video showing the other tables on it. I preordered the Marvel one but I don't know too much on the other tables for the Attack on Mars one.
Really interested, looks great!! Are these pinballs gonna be available in the uk? I know we still haven’t got quite a lot of the cabinets they do over here
Thanks for the video. Can you please post some footage of the actual gameplay. I'm very interested to see how the older Pinball FX3 Williams tables play with the updated physics that they have implemented in the cabinet.
@@MrFLip241 LOL were you serious? It's already sold out again. I don't own any other 1up machines but when I learned this existed I knew I had to have it. I guess I'll just keep trying.
Great job brother! This machine turned out to be everything I hoped it would and more. I’m in Canada so I have had my pre order in for a while and I can’t wait to add this one to my arcade. I’m still pretty jealous you have one already but hopefully our wait isn’t much longer.
What’s up with every post you comment on this guys pinball machine you keep throwing jealousy into it. Why cuz Arcade1up didn’t send you one for free. Get over it already and be happy for someone else. 🤷🏼♂️
@@TwistedGamingTV Hi Chris, I think you may have read me wrong here but that’s fine and you are entitled to your opinion. I am jealous because he already has one and I want one too and I am completely content to just pay for it.
Looks like the screen is using "limited" RGB color range settings. Wish there was a way to switch to "full" for those darker blacks and brighter colors...
But my only complaint is the head box should display of each backglass for the getaway fishtails and so on. Just a little nitpick. Overall that machine looks sweet.
Great review. This looks cool, but the 24" screen looks very small in that cabinet with it being recessed and the large bezel on the sides & extra large section near the lockdown bar. Imagine a nice 32" 4k TV with a 8" bezel around it. Plus 10 tables for $550?
@@davidbellotti1110 Yeah I hear you on that. To me it isn't too bad but I can see how some people wouldn't like the bezel. I think the monitor being put a few inches below the glass will give it a nice look. I'm itching to try these out!
Hey man, you probably won’t see this but I can remember you from the Giants and Swap Force days, when you got to do the in hand look at Tree-Rex and all of them, glad to see you’re still uploading, thanks for all the memories.
Finally a review of the AFM table. Ordered from TheBrick Canada as a result. A bit expensive but has the tables I'm interested in. Thanks very much for the overview.
Hey there, quick question. On the Mario kart video, what did you use for the track? I would love to build a course like this at my place. Any help is much appreciated! I would comment there but you have comments off.
Hi. Lately on facbook more and more people are posting photos and talking about the games graphic quality of the star wars pinballs tables. A lot of AFM preorder purchasers including myself are concerned if its worth buying. You are the only person that has this table at the moment. Could you please do another review for this table showing off more of the games focusing on the graohics quality, with the animations turned on and off, talk about how the playability feels and how the selunoids reactto the games. It would real help out a lot of us. Greatly appreciate it if you can. Thank you.
Nice video, I am considering getting this machine, could you please post a video that shows more tables in action and maybe give us more thoughts on the machine as a whole now that you have had it for a little while?
Jonathon, Appreciate the reply! Any idea when they may have this table available? I know you can order Star Wars and the Marvel table but not AFM yet. 😢
theyve openly stated that its been delayed to February or later. apparently they had some bugs they had to fix with regards to the system freezing if left on for over 8 hours. since they know people leave these machines on in the background for days, they wanted to fix the freezing issues.
Among all arcade1up Pinball tables, this one is the best. I want to get it. I wonder if it's coming to Europe? I will buy it instantly. Too bad that Monster Bash is not included... Cool review! I've subbed.
Thanks for the review! It looks like the physics on the AFM table are the Zen physics - is there an option to enable the "pro/classic" Williams physics?
Thanks for sharing your experience. It looks like a pretty solid build. Zen Studios (in my personal opinion) has the best pinball platform with amazing physics and graphics, very talented developers and I like them so much. Back to the cabinet review.....from what I have seen there are a couple of major issues. The screen resolution is a big let down and it should be 4k and no less. Another big issue is 'input lag'. Come on, you can NOT play pinball with noticeable 'input lag'! This is not acceptable by all means. Everything else seem pretty good so far. In addition, time will tell about the art work quality.
2020: The year of pinball that never happened!!! 2021: The reviews of pinball that may never come out!!! Fall of 2021: Killer Instinct comes out and no one gives a shit about pinball anymore bc it STILL not out!!!
Some questions: Is possible to disable flippers solenoids?. It looks noisy if you play at home on a shared place, or night. It has a Jack to connect earphones? And if I want to play seated is possible? Weight?
Screen quality and refresh rate for this thing looks like absolute rubbish. Graphics also look considerably worse than even the Switch or mobile versions. Shame.
you have a review for a product that is not even available for preorder and has no real release date? and it looks like it will cost the same as the legends pinball???
Yes I have soooo many questions. Where did this come from and how? The guy is English too and arcase1up don't even have a proper sales team in the UK????? What is going on here. Not even Walmart has this up for sale yet. Who did this guy sleep with lol
They do sell in the U.K. through Costco and Smyths Toys. Would get one of these for my kids to put next to my actual pinball machines- they look cool for what they are
At this price, I'd rather just save up a little more to get a full sized digital table with 1000 games. It's a quality build and everything but just seems a little like an expensive peripheral for Pinball Fx 3.
Sincerely what's bugging me the most here is they used a 720p screen and i'm really not impressed. Even in this video you can clearly see all the stairs and the aliasing all over the flippers. This is not what i had hoped for. I was planning to buy Attack from mars but now I think i'll have to wait. 1080p should be the standard especially for a virtual pinball unit. 4K would be best but i do understand it would cost too much but seriously 720p ?? This looks like a Wii title and a very cheap virtual pinball table. I was expecting more from A1up. The rest of the feature seems good but this is disappointing.
get ready the 1Up fan base is gonna attack, 720 p you can barely read the writing on the rules on the table its so blurry, yes 720p might be all right for some games but you want as much realism as you can get and jaggies and blurriness don't help I hope its at least 60 fps
Look up Legends Pinball they have 22 tables built in, and allow you to bring your own games over to use the machine, its amazing, Its also 32" and 1080p
They want to hold it back for Version 2, i guess. Mars and Medival are the top sellers. The rest is good/okay except hurricane and gataway, dont like em at all.
Graphics of the game are god awful. These tables existed on a PS3, so what is the issue here? Dead zone with the plunger and haptic feedback is mediocre. The machine itself is cheaply made, so any actual nudging of the machine will likely result in it falling apart in short order. On top of that you can't even buy these because A1UP produced this in extremely low quantities in the US (I'd be surprised if even 500 exist) to a singular store, and then gave no actual info on release dates after delaying it for months. They then unceremoniously release these machines and never mention them again while going back to "LOOK AT OUR NEW ARCADE MACHINES" which doesn't build confidence when you straight up try to ignore a big product release. But yeah reviews of these should be done with the assumption the item is 1300+ dollars, as it has never been widely available in the US and no more will be produced.
