@@Live-dy8gr in episode one Powder barely does the parkour. In episode five Vi tells Caitlin that Powder could do the parkour when she was seven years old. I would assume 7-9 is more probable than 12. I just googled it. There are two versions- 9 or 11-12. I feel like 9 is much more fitting. Thanks for making me check it 😀

​​@@marcinsikocinski4661 I think that comment us just meant to show Vi's skewed perception of Powder after not seeing her for so long while locked up in prison. Especially when you consider that the only parkour we see Powder do is her struggling. She also behaves and speaks closer to a 12 year old than a child under 10

people have commented this before I'm sure, but, I always think about what if Powder was born in Piltover and not poor in Zaun. With her talents and curiosity she would have been in the academy like Jayce.

@@AndyBestHP Yeah that's the whole point of the parallel between Jayce and Powder. How both geniuses would end up in polar opposite environments.

Also, Vi has already been shown to set an example for Powder in *not* following the rules; Vander told her not to mess with Piltover, yet she went anyway. Vi is literally doing the "Do as I say, not as I do." thing that adults often do. Also, Vi was the one encouraging Powder to make bombs in the the first place.

Well yes. Vi was also the one who didn't want to tell Vander about the crystals. There would be no bombs if they told him, so there's that too...

Did Vi kill someone? No, right, Vi had every right to be mad at Powder, she just disobeys and when she does something stupid she wants to play the victim

@@Dreamm_17 lmao you could argue Vi caused the larger event that not only set about the circumstances where powder killed the people she did on accident, but also Vanders friend and the lead enforcer, because the only reason they were even there is because Vi fked around top side when Vander told her not to. With your logic it's like saying a leader who started a war is not actually responsible because they didn't shoot someone themselves thier soldiers did.....

@@ragnarian People need to understand, that pointing out how and why certain things went wrong for the sisters, doesn't mean you're "blaming" anyone. Vi did the best she could, nobody in her position could've been expected to do better. That doesn't change the fact, that Powder made and used bombs because Vi encouraged her to. If Powder is to blame for what went wrong, then Vi bears an equal part of the responsibility... Personally, I wouldn't blame either of them for being kids and messing up... because that's what kids do sometimes.

@@Centane Ah, mb in that case. Must be something with Netflix, as Riot has said they'll never pursue copyright claims in relation to streamers - at least when it comes to Arcane.

Something I didn't realize till my second watch - Powder was fractured right at the beginning. You see the same scribbly-scratch over animations right before they show them.

Nah. I never liked Powder or Jinx and never cared about deep mind of her actions, always thought that she’s too far gone like everyone said, and still loved show. P.s. not everyone have to think the same to enjoy something.

@@DamianLamier You are totally right that not everybody has to think/feel the same while watching the show. I wasn't trying to tell anybody that they should have empathy towards Powder/Jinx, you can think/feel about her any way you want. The story however is in 3 acts and the finals of those acts (3-6-9) all hinge around the relation between the 2 sisters (and mostly from Powder/Jinx's perspective). There is a lot going on in the show besides the 2 sisters of course, I was just wondering if the story of the show is as enjoyable when you're not "rooting" for the sisters. Good to read you really enjoyed the show without caring that much about Powder/Jinx, maybe Centane/Kamilla will have the same experience...

Idk in which bubble you live but huge portion of internet dislikes her because of her actions in the show. Feel free to take a look at other reactors, most reacted the same

I start to test reactors from ep1, they all expect powder to keep up and jump roofs with ease and help with the street fight, like... where has all the common sense gone? she's a skinny little girl of 7 or 8? and reactors watching expect her to compete equally vs people double her age, absolutely make the best possible decision in every scenario, like goddamn just think back when you were her age and the little world knowdledge you had at the time, would you've done any better?

@@EgoJinpachi_ To be fair, many other animated series don't care about age, and have children being as capable as adults - it can take people a while to figure out that isn't the situation in Arcane.

Another way to view it would be as someone coming down in a very uncharitable and unsympathetic way on a little girl with abandonment issues and developing psychological trauma. If you were to do that to a child like this in real life I'd call it cruel, so that's where my mind went to. Of course the difference between us is that I never played or cared about League of Legends the game, so I went into this show with no preconceptions at all, and I think I actually had the better experience for it (for one I don't keep trying to guess which game character is going to appear at every other turn). On average movie adaptations of books and games leave much to be desired, so the people who read the books or played the games first have a distinct advantage to judge the movies. However, this show is a rare exception, because it is actually not only superior to it's source material, but it stands as potentially the single best piece of animated storytelling in the last two decades at least. Bold claim, but I'll bite the bullet on that because I don't think I can truly oversell how good this show is, you're bound to enjoy it. There is actually a phenomenal reaction series to Arcane by a therapist on youtube - Psyculturists - he breaks down the psychology of the characters in a way that's both engaging and educational, though as a result his reactions are incredibly long, hours per episode at times, but it's fairly worth it I would say, once you watch the series yourself first of course.

@@Centane I've seen a lot of reaction to this show by now and you are one of the very rare ones that gets angry at Powder for what she did. By far most get angry at Vi for hitting powder.

@@brabbelbeest that's because people aren't thinking, powder just killed her entire friend group & stopped Vanders rescue with stupidity, Vi just lashed out for 1 second and then almost immediately came to her senses but by then it was too late.
