Arcane Episode 7 Reaction [The Boy Savior]

Ekko's character design has to be my favorite in the show.

What a masterful way of storytelling that fight is. No flashback, No talking, No speeches, No cliches, Just a simple gesture of "Lets play our game one last time" and a marriage of animation and music.

I absolutely love the scene where Viktor hesitates to disarm the grenade. He and Jayce started out developing Hextech for the express purpose of helping people. Viktor immediately refuses to build weapons, but now his own best friend and partner is standing right behind him, genuinely considering breaking their most important vow and killing people with the amazing thing they invented. The bomb starts ticking, and Viktor has an opportunity to make sure Hextech is never weaponized. It's not like he has much to lose so he genuinely considers letting it go off, taking the only two people in the world who actually know exactly how Hextech functions. Instead, he cuts the wire, looks right at Jayce, and tells him that there is *always* a choice. All that from maybe four seconds and one line of dialogue? This show had no right being as good as it is.

sevika is a very underrated character. often times she is labeled as a “traitor” and “disloyal”. it is a very bad rap. she is a zaun independence fighter. zaun independence is her number one priority and she hasn’t really waivered. she told vander to his face that she didn’t approve of his methods and that she was no longer with him.. she got her arm blown off protecting silco. she’s full of rage but every now and again, if we listen closely she is good for some words of wisdom.

When Jinx walks across the bridge, she's humming the same tune that Powder was singing in Episode 1, that Vi presumably told her to sing to distract her from the horrors of the revolution around them. If you rewatch the opening scenes of Ep 1, you can already see the scribbles over explosions and Enforcers that are a hallmark of Jinx's mental state. Vi told her to cover her eyes, but Powder was still looking through her fingers, and her young mind was obviously traumatized by the senseless violence around them.

I love how Ekko's theme music start playing when he shows up on his hover board, right before the Jinx fight. I got chills when I watch it the first time because I instantly reconigzed the tune.

That Ekko Jinx bridge scene switch from 3D to 2D one of the coolest shit I've seen in a while 🤗 my Arcane playlist phase already done but Dynasties and Dystopia never left my head 😂

Just to be clear, ekko at this point in the show doesnt have time rewind powers, in the battle vs jinx its just the memories of their childhood. That scene is just foreshadowing and a easter egg for those who played the games.

You can actually see Jinx building the exploding Firelight Robots during the first couple Episodes. Everytime she works in her hideout she's either crafting them directly or has some Blueprints and Plans lying around in the Background :)

That last scene was the best in the series. Still can't get over how incredible it was.

In game ekko use his ultimate ability to rewind back to where he was a few seconds back regaining some portion of health they foreshadowed this at the last fight

Silco would rather whole heartedly trust in someone (Jinx) who rises from soul crushing betrayal, because those people would go to insane measures in order to never feel that low/weak/broken again. Trust is everything and he is choosing to build up Jinx.

LOL. Cliffhangers are what Arcane is great at. The best is yet to come. It's great to see Ekko again. I kinda forgot about him like you did. The Jayce blacksmithing was all for you and yeah, they started the Cait and Vi shipping back in 5. The songs are allowed by Riot to be used from what I hear, except ENEMY. This is just what I've heard. I think every episode is a great episode, so it makes for an incredible series. Finding out that the doctor worked with Heimerdinger was cool to learn as well.

Perhaps the animators couldn't tempt you with Jayce's forge scene, but it definitely worked on me. I'm still lightheaded haha. Ekko and Jinx's fight was definitely beautiful animation and storytelling at work. Glad you liked it. :)

I think what it is , is that jinx is doing more than shimmer ever could to make the top side scared. I think that's why he permits it. And jinx did take care of that blockade.

Why not just make a impregnable forcefield with hextech so no weapon can hurt piltover, plus technically those arent weapons

I bought the League of Legends action figure combo. Heimerdinger, Vi, Ekko, Jinx and Caitlyn, all of them in a box. They use game outfits, not Arcane's.

Playing League of Legends might have even spoil the show for me. When Ekko pulled out his clock, i was sure what he's gonna do.

Once you finish the series you need to watch Enemy by Imagine Dragons. Its an animated music video in this world and it gives some more development for Powder and Echo.

my favorite episode!

Ekko is probably my favorite character. He's the only one who seems to be truly good (although to be fair, we don't know enough of his story to see his flaws). I don't know how many times I've rewatched the bridge fight. The song, Dynasties and Dystopia, is so good, I actually bought it. Give the whole thing a listen, it's amazing.

Fun fact 90% of death in the show came from jinx lol

Jinx duality is between sweet and psycho. And you never know which will show up next. That is unlike Harley Quinn who is normal unless they want to make a show or she wants to prove she is rebel. Very weak character design compared to Jinx.

Its impossible for you to know this without playing the game or using a wiki but it has context here, Ekko has a time manipulation ability which he employed in this episode to beat Jinx. Not knowing this can make the scene extremely confusing or cause misinterpretation. What we saw was him fighting Jinx, losing, then using time manipulation to go back and refight her but this time dodging all her attacks to get an advantage and win. Some of the game lore and show cannon don't exactly match up perfectly but that's what happened here. His entire character is time themed. He has an hourglass on his forehead and his name means "repeat."

I really don’t like Vi…. Like why didn’t you just tell Ekko to Carry cait instead so she can face Jinx….. love everything else but something about Vi and cait relationship seem force and artificial.
